If anyone still doubts the social relevancy of star wars just head to amc and fandango sites right now, picked up my tix but the sites are crashing right now. Lol Disney is going to be burning money with these movies and all related merchandise/park additions.

Yep tried going on there to see my local theaters could barely get on.

Honestly this movie may realistically do 2 billion worldwide it wouldn't shock me in the slightest. I go to the movies a ton and I've never experienced the website slowdown and crashing that this is causing. I couldn't believe I got my 2 for opening night.

It's projected to take the third spot all time right behind Avatar and Titanic.

Movie tickets go up $5 a year...inflation blows those numbers away.

I can't stop watching the trailer. Just hearing the score by John Williams is enough to send chills up and down my spine.

You're one of the those purists who doesn't even watch the trailer before the movie? I respect that. I'm like putting the speed down to 0.25 and pausing every 2 seconds looking at every detail and trying to draw conclusions (that will mostly be wrong).

Your way actually sounds less stressful...

Hmm, without giving away spoilers it looks good. The sets look leaps and bounds better than Episodes 1-3 (or Prequels). The details are pretty phenomenal. I'm getting more and more excited. The actors still have a lot to prove, but I'm hopeful it will turn out spot on. The work that Bogeya and Ridley created looks exciting. Though Harrison Ford stole the show... He just had to stand there. It was enough.

Does the droid's head at 1:39 look a little HALish to anyone?

There was one part that reminded me of Into Darkness tonally just a little bit. We'll see if that's more pervasive. Edit: I figured out why it reminded me of into darkness.

So excited was able to get tickets for a midnight showing with four of my five kids, my husband has no interest in going though. And my youngest is super excited because the theater has the fancy recliner seats. Oh and it only took and hour to get through.

One tip: I kept getting locked up when Trying to use visa in payment...I switched to
PayPal and it went through on the first shot...maybe the credit system is
Overrun?

You waited a while, I got done in 10 minutes. I would have gave up at that point.
