Sea world is probably going to be first. They are hated anyways. It’s going to take awhile to clean all those Legos at LEGOland.
These kind of posts is where I see the elitist attitude from Disney fans.

SeaWorld is a great park with Orlando's best coasters. Social distancing measures will be easier to implement there as its mostly shows.

I am listening to my local sports talk radio station here in Atlanta while “working “ from home. The update guy mentioned all 20 some MLS staying at Orlando playing games at WDW starting end of June is being proposed. Assuming the ESPN Sports Complex would be used for games and practice. Disney would probably want them to stay at a Disney hotel I would think. Where do you stick 20 soccer teams? Riviera, Caribbean Beach ?

They proposed this about NBA too

You don’t have to be a Disney elitist to know Seaworld is hated. They’re not hated because of their rollercoasters or in park experience. You’re not wrong that it’s a great park that gets bad press for other reasons.

I think the NBA rumor was Caribbean? Some of the European leagues kicked around the idea of playing all matches at a central location but decided against, even though they are going to play matches with no crowd.

But you don't seem to understand that a bandana tied around the face will not stop this virus. It's ridiculous to think it will. Doctors and nurses who are wearing surgical masks and even N95 masks all day are still catching the virus.

These masks are giving you a huge false sense of security. They don't stop a virus like this. If doctors are catching it even when wearing N95 masks, then a bandana is useless.

No matter what policies Disney puts in place, someone WILL catch this virus in Disney World. If Disney or the general public can't live with that reality, then they shouldn't reopen. And if you are in the high risk categories, don't go. The bad thing that could happen is Disney will try to show the world how safe it is and everyone is wearing masks and social distancing, etc, etc.. Then someone high risk goes to Disney and gets sick anyway. That's bad PR too, right?
Except that masks do actually seem to cut down on the spread. The numbers cited in NY today indicate the spread is actually much lower in Frontline health workers than general population. Which would seem to support proper use of PPE as a means of reducing spread. Which just about every medical professional has a said recently. if there is competing data out there I would be all ears. So it would be great if peope disnt just express whatever opinion they have as fact without some sort of data behind it.

The difference between the NBA and MLS is the NBA has to deal with regional and cable contracts. I’m sure Disney would want a majority share of the games aired on ESPN/ESPN2/ABC in exchange for using their facilities. Turner and regional sports networks were not going to let that fly. MLS, most games are aired on ESPN already

I actually like SeaWorld been there multiple times. But they don’t have the same public reputation image as Disney. If you’re talking about not wanting to open the parks because someone could get the virus then that becomes a PR stain, SeaWorld has a PR stain already from stuff like Blackfish documentary. Disney will want to protect their wholesome family image.

Lol what sports league is not talking about playing at WDW?

I agree with that but you still don't need to make comments like it doesn't matter to them. No parks want to hurt their image during this not just Disney.

The NBA rumor I saw was Coronado Springs. I believe availability there for June and July disappeared all of the sudden a week or two ago.

MLB was also talking about it.

They were talking about having their league spread between Arizona, and Florida (Texas was also discussed as a 3rd location) using their spring training facilities in Florida and Arizona. Disney in general was never being talked about facilitating MLB games

I haven’t been back since Blackfish. There is no way Disney wants to get a reputation related to this virus.

The Atlanta Braves did spring training at Disney until this year when they moved to Sarasota, so I always assumed the Disney facility was included in this talk, though I never looked into it to confirm.

They wouldn’t need to use Disney. Every team that would have “home” games in Florida already have their own facilities.

Vegas seems a better option for NBA than WDW.
They want confinement... I can imagine the temptations are too great there and also they can dedicate a whole hotel to the league as opposed to shutting down one what needs casino revenue
