If WDW is open in June arent they going to need every CM they can to be working?
Working cm can still book rooms and go with family/ friends, even if every cm it's called back they still will get days offSo WDW is thinking that CMs who are furloughed will book rooms?
I mean, reservations are open for everyone on thre site and they've been canceling roomsVery interesting that they are offering rooms to CM, why would they do that if no plans to be open.
Yeah I agree. I just don't think they'd offer those rooms to their own staff and say never mind, we are going to be closed after all.I mean, reservations are open for everyone on thre site and they've been canceling rooms
Unless they are offering them rooms so they can test out the measures that are being put in place. Like what Shanghai is doing.Yeah I agree. I just don't think they'd offer those rooms to their own staff and say never mind, we are going to be closed after all.
Yes Im thinking they are getting ready for resorts at least to be open.Unless they are offering them rooms so they can test out the measures that are being put in place. Like what Shanghai is doing.

Who would want to pay $300 a night in June? They are delusional as I dont think the general public would even jump all over that.
$300 is crazy cheap for contemporary...Who would want to pay $300 a night in June? They are delusional as I dont think the general public would even jump all over that.
not just park - resort experience will be significantly affected as well I would expectStill too much for a reduced park experience.
My hubby is a furloughed cast member and we have a weekend in mid June booked that we booked just last week.Working cm can still book rooms and go with family/ friends, even if every cm it's called back they still will get days off
These 50% room rates are very hard to book during regular times, they put the offer out an it books in a day.
Obviously financially it doesn't make sense unless the cm has savings, for my dd for example she doesn't have many bills to pay and from the furloughed she's getting more money than what she usually makes from her part time.
Im seriously thinking of booking and going with her, we can split the payment

$300 is great for the full experience. $300 when you have no idea what the experience will be? Nah I'd pass thanks.
That’s very encouraging for a June opening. I’ve thought all along that when they extended the free dining offer to guests who were cancelled it was a strong indication they expected to open in June. Seems to me this is a good indication that they still believe that. Thanks for the information!Just checking around and for those wondering the HUB is offering CM 50% off rates for resorts stay in June, for example a stay at All Star is at $89 per night Contemporary $280
and July 4th weekend All Star at $107 Contemporary $288 per night
The 50% is offered to CM only when there's an abundance of rooms available
Uh... Have fun today, I suppose? Whatever floats your boat. I would happily pay $300, even for a reduced experience. As it is half of what I would normally pay-- so half price for half amenities seems fair.We paid about $270 a night for contemporary Labor Day week 2018. I’m going to be laughing at $300 a night for June 2020 all day.
So WDW is thinking that CMs who are furloughed will book rooms?
I don’t know how you got that rate, but I’ve never seen anything close to that price for the Contemporary and that’s with AP discounts. Any deluxe for under $300 is tough to find. Typically, the best discount from any source outside of CM rates is 40%.We paid about $270 a night for contemporary Labor Day week 2018. Same here-- I once got contemporary tower for $375, but that was a fluke that sold out extremely quickly. It was also in the middle of August.I don’t know how you got that rate, but I’ve never seen anything close to that price for the Contemporary and that’s with AP discounts. But what if this went on for several more months?Well, with the $600/week for now from the fed gov’t plus no health insurance premiums I’d bet that most cm are actually making more money than normal right now. Also, not all of them are single (young) adults who barely make enough to cover housing. I know someone who works at WDW but his wife brings in most of the money for their family.
