Rumor about “modified experiences” when Disney reopens (read 1st post for potential modifications being considered)

A universal executive was quoted a few weeks back to saying Volcano bay was the water park that could easily open with social distancing because of the mobile ordering and virtual ques. I don’t think volcano bay is out of the question. The exec mentioned that the virus could not live in chlorinated water.

:sad2: They never claim to be. Corey was a life guard back in the day at one of the parks. Deni could only comment on what she’s seen with open pools currently. Did you watch the video?
I admit I did not watch the whole video. I guess I am just seeing so many different opinions and guesses, that I am growing tired of them. Not sure why I keep reading the posts . Lol. I have a trip planned for September so I am nervous, anxious and everything else. I think I need a break from reading all of this. 🥴

We’ve heard that after 9-11 they worked together to set similar safety procedures. So, if it’s a change that impacts both parks, they will work together. They are also both members of the same reopening Task Forces.

It was a joke.

Breaks are good. I take them regularly.

We will continue to monitor the situation and make adjustments as needed. Hours of operation are subject to change.

Will I have to wear a face covering? What if I don’t have one?
Yes
– all guests will be required to wear a face covering during their visit. If a guest does not have a face covering, we will provide a complimentary disposable one for use during their visit. We will also have face coverings available for purchase.

What about face coverings when guests are eating?
We have arranged tables and seating so that guests can remove their face coverings while they eat. But we ask that they wear them at all other times.

What will happen if a guest has a high temperature?
Any guest that has a temperature of 100.4 degrees or greater will not be able to enter CityWalk and it will be requested that the individual see a doctor, per CDC guidelines.

Will I have to pay for parking?
Self-parking is complimentary during our limited reopening and is subject to change. Valet parking is not available at this time.

Good to see they have disposable ones for free! Assuming Disney will follow suit, I can't remember if this is something we knew yet.

Just finished listening to the Disunplugged podcast. Pete is still hearing that Disney is planning/trying for 6/1 opening. He mentioned some inside sources, and also the fact that Disney isn't allowing changes/extensions to the free dining offers that were offered to those with cancellations during the park closure (sorry, kind of murky on these details because that part doesn't affect me). Anyways, for those of us wanting a reason to have hope for June, we got some! Oh, and for anyone who wants to hear more mask discussion, there was plenty of that too!
I posted at the top of this page that i was alerted to do my online check in and order our Magic Bands for our 6/7-/6/14 DVC BLT trip i wants able to do that before today

Just saw a story on a Target employee getting punched, a small brawl breaking out and ending with the employee having a broken arm because 2 unmasked people didn’t want to leave Target and refused to put masks on.

People can be so, so, stupid.
Yes, happened at a nearby Target from me. While I am anti-mask at WDW in the outdoor heat, it is definitely still a requirement in Los Angeles at all essential businesses and needs to be followed.

I've never been a huge Universal fan but I really like they put this all out there to clarify and let everyone know.

Chlorine will neutralize the virus so that's not a concern. I think the bigger issue would be the inability to wear a mask in a water park since masks are likely to be required for a while at least.

social distancing is harder too - just how you could get tossed around by the wave pool and stuff like that. maybe easier for the slides

She's being intentionally vague because she has to be. 30 seconds of research on here allowed me to figure out she's in a position that she can't disclose more and I'll leave it at that. I 100% believe her. I don't, however, necessarly think that because her stay was cancelled that all stays will be.
Ok, thank you, everything makes sense. I don’t think her situation is applicable to the rest of us. Of course, I don’t think that necessarily means that a WDW is not going to start cancelling June reservations tomorrow.
