Rumor about “modified experiences” when Disney reopens (read 1st post for potential modifications being considered)

This, look at how little the enforcement was last year or so when a full on fight broke out at Disneyland Toontown for 5-10 minutes with no interaction from security until officers showed up, with Disney cast members watching. Disney will not have CM's enforcing the rules just suggesting.

The Toontown incident is just a normal monday afternoon at Six Flags parks

While a face covering provides some benefit, it’s important to remember that the best way to help prevent infection continues to be avoiding exposure to the virus and remaining vigilant about preventing the spread of germs.
OK yullin3, I got a very good chuckle out of reading this, thanks for the laugh, brings to mind the Cap't Obvious commercials :)

I have been going to WDW for over 40 years and I have to honestly say the quality of the experience is just not anywhere near the same. I don’t know if it’s because the crowds are bigger or the people are ruder or what but it’s a little less magical, a little less cleaner a little less “wow” every time. Don’t get me wrong, still a superior experience when compared to most but I can’t deny it

If Disney issues guidelines, they'll be enforced about as stringently as the dress code on DCL. Unless they have a security team dedicated to actual rule enforcement, it will be up to each individual to be diligent.

I picture it being similar to how they have it at grocery stores now ... you have one way traffic encouraged with direction signs, etc. and then you have signs posted about encouraging 6', and then in queues and lines in stores you have the boxes outlining the 6' gaps to wait, etc. Things like that. And like in the grocery store if someone comes near me not keeping 6' I let them go the heir way/let them pass, etc.

But I just can't see Disney kicking people out if they are only 3' instead of 6' or anything

But that is putting the responsibility on the customer again. As with all businesses, right now responsibility is on the business to be doing everything they can for the safety of customers and employees. Otherwise they simply should not be open.
Ultimately, when it comes down to it, you are responsible for you. No one should rely on anyone else to babysit you or anyone else. Expecting someone to take care of you isn't how life works

Yes! I think we should be responsible for ourselves and our family to make sure we take our own precautions to avoid getting sick (like we always have!!). I'm not saying that companies should not try to make things as clean as possible, but it shouldn't be their sole responsibility!

Isn't that part of why we go to Disney, though? We expect a certain amount of restrictions to make for a safe and pleasant experience for everyone. Disney works to prevent stampeding during rope drop, forming orderly queues, security screenings at entrances, etc. Obviously everyone is responsible for how well they follow these rules, but Disney's responsibility is to create and enforce them, and that will likely apply to their COVID measures as well.

Speaking of security screenings at the gate, I wonder how they will do bag checks going forward. The more I think about a security guard going though someones bag and then going through mine, the more I'm concerned. If the guards don't change gloves between bags, then there is little to no way germs will not be spread between the two. X-ray bag screening on the horizon possibly?

Yes, we can expect Disney to take every precaution possible to keep the environment clean and safe, but without that layer of "personal responsibility" from the guests there is no way they can keep us all safe 100%, so I am inclined to agree that if I go I'm ready to take some extra precautions myself (mask, Lysol wipes) instead of just assuming that everything will be fine just because it's Disney.

I have been wondering about this for a while. Changing gloves every 20 seconds would be needed for cleanliness but think of the trash created. I'm not sure how they will manage this

This was brought up earlier on this thread or in the other one
They have been using a stick to move things around the inside of bags so it would be minimal contact with inside stuff, as to the actual gloves they can sanitize between each bag.
They could also ask the owner of the bag to open it up themselves and then they move things around with the stick (which can also be sanitized) I don't think they will be changing gloves constantly

That sounds decent. Changing gloves in the FL heat would be very difficult at best. Sanitizing the gloves would seem like a good alternative.

Ok but surely the stick still needs sanitizing between almost every guest or at least every family. The stick helps protect the security guy (great) but it's still going to transfer the virus from one guests bag to anothers if not regularly sanitized.
