I have been to 7 mile beach and would like to hear from someone who went to Rum Point. I thought 7 mile beach was OK. The slope on the beach is steep and in my opinion goes down quickly.

Seven Mile beach - it just depends where you go on how good the beach is. THe beach is NOT very good by the Marriott or Treasure Island. I think the best part of seven mile beach is by the Westin Cantina resort.... they say it's a private beach but there is a public access just to the side of the hotel. You can take a taxi to the Sunshine Suites (across from the Westin) and walk across the street. From there you can swim straight out and have great snorkeling. Bring cans of cheese whiz.. the fish go crazy eating it!!! You can also rent jet ski's, snorkel gear, etc right there on the beach at the Westin.

Rum Point will be about a 30 min drive from where the boats lets you off. It's a smaller beach area -water is shallow and you can walk out forever and you are still up to your waste. You can also rent jet-ski's there, too. THere is a restaurant right there on the beach, with picnic tables and the menu's are attached to coconut shells so they don't blow away and the food is pretty good... burger and tropical drinks.

I hope this helps - I LOVE Grand Cayman - have fun!!!
