Rules for pictures at dance parties?

I don't have much experience with dance parties. Is there certain rules about taking pictures/selfies with the characters during the parties?

I ask because I had sort of an unpleasant experience at the holiday dance party at DHS tonight. Many people were taking selfies and getting the characters to pose for pictures with them. I assumed this was okay so I got selfies with Sebastian, Robin Hood, and White Rabbit with no problems. After Genie finishes posing for a pic with another family, I approach him and ask him to take a selfie with me. His response was to push my ear headband down onto my face and walk off.

It may seem silly, but this kind of put a damper on my night. I thought it was rude the way he did it.

That's unusual. Sounds like something Chip, Dale or Stitch might do. But doesn't seem in character for Genie. They do have to keep moving and there's no line to see them. Wonder if the music was too loud to hear what you asked?

It would've been hilarious if he'd done it, but then come back for a pic. I agree, if he knew what you were asking, that was very rude. It could've been the end of his shift, but a handler should tell you that "he needs to go back to Agrabah" or whatever, IMO.

Not sure why you think that's so hilarious... If he would have done it and taken the pic with me then ok yes, he was being funny. But he was pretty much being mean.

Honestly, that's just how things are going to go sometimes in a setting like this. After you, someone else would have had their phone up and ready to go. Try not to take it personally. It's one of the reasons I prefer traditional meet and greets.

I honestly don't see the issue here. Sounds like he didn't have time to take a picture and made a joke as he went off. Not being mean. Not being a bully.

I totally agree.....that's why I think it was a hilarious move....very Genie- like.

Doesn't he have big foam hands? Perhaps he was just trying to do something else and knocked your ears by mistake?
