Rules/etiquette for reserving Fantasmic spots?

Whenever we watch Fantasmic, we always secure a spot at the restaurant next to Pirates a few hours prior and take turns holding the table while the other grown up takes the kids on rides. The staff there said this is fine and are very accommodating.

Last time we were at DLR, we noticed people were putting blankets down along the Rivers of America to reserve a spot starting at like 2:00pm. They didn't have anyone on the blankets, just left it there with a bag or something on top to mark their territory. Is this allowed? Will staff pick up these blankets if no one is watching them or is this a legitimate way to save a spot? Just wondering...

Agree with the other posters. CM's will pick up the blankets/bags. We took a blanket and around 4pm staked out our spot (this was beginning of January). One of us stayed with the blanket at all times. We saw people leave their blankets only to have them removed by the CM's.....talk about a show in itself when the people came back :furious: I felt bad for the CM's getting screamed at!

We bring blankets and pillows and always have at least one of us stay there. We love to people watch and this is always fun. Also we have met many people sitting and talking.
