ruined swim suit at VWL pool

This is going to sound dumb but everytime we wear nylon bathingsuits at the VWL pools we get them snagged. If sit at the Jaccuzi our suit bottoms also get all snagged. Has this ever happened to anyone else? The only reason I am asking is because we have already ruined 4 suits.

Maybe you could bring an old hand towel to sit on. I know I used to do this when I'd sit by the kiddie pool when my kids were babies. Now that my kids are older, my problem is they don't want to use the ladders to get out and push out from the wall. Their suits are trashed by the end of every season!

I noticed it happens to my dd every year. I usually don't sit on the side of the pool. But I also have those pool shorts.

My DW just gets an extra pool towel and sits on it just so she won't ruin her suits.

Of course,you could just wear a thong,then technically your not really sitting on the suit.

I can remember as a kid my grandmother fussing at me for sitting on the edge of the pool and then sliding into it, dragging my tail and picking up the suit.

Just the reality of concrete, and dragging your bottom on bottom

If you wear nylon and sit on concrete it will snag.Wear surf shorts .They are made for swinning in sough surf.
Or sit on towel.Skip the thong.If you get runs in your suits what will happen if you waer a thong?LOL

If you think the WL pool is bad, try Stormalong Bay! It is surrounded by what looks like rock and boy does that stuff eat your suit. Ladies suits are stretchy and not the same tough nylon as mens' suits. LandsEnd catalog does offer ladies' swim shorts made of the quik-dry nylon like the mens' suits. I may get a pair of these to cover my fanny "just in case." I was thinking about how awful it would be if your suit got ruined on vacation! I am very fussy about suits (I suspect most women are) and I could not just pick one off the rack at WDW and be happy... Maybe we should issue a bathing suit demolition alert for all WDW properties...

Would this be off of one of the chairs no one has come back to in a long time? I think they call that a 2 for 1 special - save suit, gain chair

(This is just in fun....I do thank you for looking into the source of the "train noise". There is no call for loud truck noises in the middle of the night. I hope OKW takes care of it ASAP. More like swim trucks and barefoot. DW just hoped that my big mouth didn't wake up anybody who was lucky enough to sleep thru the train noise.

Well I have decided to not go naked or wear a thong. I rather snag my bathing suit than my tooshie.

I will listen to the ladies suggestion and just wear board shorts.

On a recent trip, we were swimming at the Poly and DS (about 6 at the time) snagged his suit going down the slide and it ripped. The more he went down the worse it got. I ran into the store and bought a new one just in the nick of time. When I got back to the pool, DH was keeping him in the water because there was nothing covering his behind. Had to put the new suit on with him in the water.
