Do you use rubber stamp images in your scrapbooks? Ive never tried but Ive seen several people at crops who do this. Do you stamp the image directly on the page or do you stamp it on cardstock and then add it like you would a photo? Do you use a border or a frame for it? Im trying to get some fresh ideas. I have a bazillion pictures of Disney and Im getting kinda stale. I have so many pictures of Disney I even have pictures of the Garbage Cans :scared: from MgM at christmas.

Thanks for your help

In the beginning I always stamped on CS - for squares, borders, along the edge of a photo mat, etc. That way if I screwed it up (like got the stamp edge on the CS) I could start over w/o messing up my page. Since I started applying the ink to the stamp (as opposed to pressing the stamp on the ink pad) or using brush pens, I find I'm happier with the results & will actually stamp directly on the page. But even then I don't wait until the very end! If I'm not happy with it, I'll move some other element over it. :lmao:

It all depends on how much I have on the page and whether I'm using PP or a plain CS background. I rarely do anything the same over & over.

I've done both, depending on what kind of look I was going for. In the beginning, I always stamped on paper, then cut the image out, like I was making my own die-cuts. Now, I usually stamp right on the paper, and I've even been stamping right on my pictures(!) at times, it gives it a whole different look.

Play around, and see what you like best. If you don't like it, put something else over it!

oohhh very nice thank you
I think I'm going to do a few of each and see how it works
I can always cover my mistakes with a pretty sticker :rotfl:

You can also make your own "fancy" paper from stamps! Take plain white cardstock and any background stamp and have fun! Or just use your favorite stamp and create an entire background! I have done this and have been quite happy, that way no one else has the same paper as you!
