Could somebody please tell me what the interactive water area is at this resort? I haven't been there yet.

There is an area that is sort of like a ship with a platform. There are water guns to shoot & ropes to pull that released water on you.... my daughter (then 9) loved it!

It is like a big boat with water shooting out from several locations. They also have things that you can hold on to and move them in any direction and shoot people with water. The kids love it in there as well as some adults. I would go in just to get cooled off. The water pours down in different locations kinda like a waterfall. This was a good idea. Keeps kids entertained for a long time.

Is it easy to keep an eye on your kids if you're not actually over there with them? In other words, would you need to be in the pool to see them or are there seats nearby? I'm a nervous mother when my kids are in the water!

I find it very easy to see whats going on at the water area...I can see it all from the merchandise shop, and we are all the way on the far side OUTSIDE of the pool area itself. There are definately some chairs that have a better view than others...just find the spot where you find you have the best view and you will be fine. Also, there is a lifeguard stand that watches the play area almost exclusively.
