Has anyone been overcharged after they have checked out of the RPR?
If so; how was the hotel at rectifying the error?

We've stayed there for 6 six years straight and have never had a problem. Call them and ask about it. The staff @ RPR is very helpful. Good luck.

Twice we were charged for Valet parking when we always self park. We bring
our dog so for us it is easier to park - walk the dog - grab a few things and head
to the room. Then DS, dog and I stay in the room and relax a bit while DH brings
up the bags - which is usually only two anyways. He has this thing about leaving
his bags and waiting for them to arrive - so he insists on doing it.

Anyway - my point lol - each time when checking out I point out that we had
self parking and they fix it. But it is annoying that it has happened twice, makes
you wonder how many people are in a rush and end up paying for valet when they
used self parking.

We go again next week - yippee! Tchoup Chop for Thanksgiving dinner - it has
become an annual tradition. (4th year this year)

Nope. But if you're staying at the HRH and you see a refund of your deposit on your credit card statement, it means they've cancelled (lost) your reservation and you need call them to get it re-instated.

Thanks for your replies; my sister and myself returned from a three night stay on 10/31 and she just received her credit card statement and was charged $596 from the hotel! We paid for our room through Universal Vacations; she is contacting the hotel today; I just don't understand how they can charge such a large amount without your authorization :confused3. When we checked out she signed off on our bill of $129 that we had charged to the room and that was it.

well turns out they had a computer problem the day we checked out and someone elses check out charges were charged to her! They have straightened it all out. Good to know they can find the problem quickly -

believe it or not but each time i have stayed at hrh they put on the $14/ parking charge.

i don't rent a car when i am there.

i just go up to the front desk, tell them this is an error and they remove it immediately.

they have never asked me any questions, just a i am so sorry and of course it will be removed.

the first year i stayed there i did have an over charge once i received my cc bill statement. i called hrh and they credited me immediately.....no problems or issues. just a computer error and they corrected it.

i still love the hrh.......totally and completely awesome there.

by the way, i had this happen at a disney resort and had to talk to a manager to correct an overcharge before i checked out from there. it took 30 minutes of my time...........
thats the difference, disney i had to prove they were wrong, at universal, just my statement and credited, no arguement or loss of time.

We had trouble once at the RPR. Someone was making phone calls from our room while we were out. Took a while to sort it out -- the concierge dropped the charges for us, and then the front desk put them back, etc. But, it finally got straightened out.

had huge problems with HRH. they charged us for comped nights we were given for bad service previously. Ended up paying the charges because they lied to the CC company (claimed the reason there was a 0 balance when we checked out was because the computer was down)and threatened to turn it over to collections.
