I will try to keep this as brief as possible and only give important details of our vacation. First I want to give a hats off to Rosie at the front desk who upgraded us from a water view to an executive suite because I called a few days before and asked and they weren't supposed to however they did due to our 20th wedding anniversary we were celebrating there. We flew out of Birmingham on July 10th at 8:40 am and had a great flight. We arrived at Orlando and was greeted by our driver Ed Korgan from Taxi MCO and stopped and got some snacks. I would highly recommend him. We were astonished when our room was ready at 11:00 in the morning, big surprise, wasn't expecting that. We were very pleased with our suite as it was much better than a regular room. We got our room keys and hit the park. We chose Universal first and rode Shrek, Mummy, Jaws, ET, ate late lunch at Richter's Burger Company, great food. BTTF, something was wrong with express on this ride, waited 40 min. in express. We were irritated at that but we decided to shake it off and then call it an early night. Left the park at around 7:00 and awaiting in our room back at the RPR was cookies and milk, champaign and cheeses, fruit, crackers, and two huge baskets of candy with Yoo Hoos in them with a card which read Happy 20th Anniversary. This was courtesy of the beautiful sweet girl named Emma who checked us in. She was fabulous! In fact the RPR was the greatest, best service we have ever had in a hotel. We went to the pool and jacuzzis and enjoyed those and turned in. Wonderful first day. Day two later. :grouphug:

Wow, looks like you hit the jackpot on the welcome gift. Glad it was waiting for you when you got back. Sometimes it doesn't show up, and that can ruin the trip for some. My wife got irrated when our cookies and milk didn't show up until the next evening. But we got them, tasted great, and the world was spinning again.

Enjoyed reading your report ~ Thanx for posting.

No I did not have to pay for the upgrade. How I got it was simply this: I had booked the Mastercard Deal where I had the free water view room, I joined Loew's First program and called and asked for an upgrade. The next upgrade from the waterview is an executive suite. They said they weren't supposed to upgrade when I had already booked a special from Mastercard but they did anyway. I would think you would HAVE to be Loew's first to receive it though. Hope this helps :grouphug:
