Can anybody let me know if the resort has any transportation directly to SeaWorld and if so how regularly it runs?

Thanks!

They have a shuttle that runs twice a day.
Only problem is, it leaves after 9am, so you'll end up getting to SWF after the park opens. Here's my picture from the HRH last year.

I forgot to take a picture of the RPR sign this year, but I'm sure it's almost the same.
The best idea is to rent the car, even if it means paying the parking fee. That way, you can drive over early in the morning, and then drive back without waiting. Or you can hire a limo service if you don't want to drive.

We took the shuttle and thought it was fine. We really didn't care to get to Seaworld the moment it opened. We spent the whole day there, there was plenty to keep us occupied.

Thanks to both of you!

We're staying on site at RPR and doing Universal parks for the remainder of the trip so we're kind of hoping not to have to rent the car.

Appreciate the info.

I think the shuttle schedule changes at different times of the year. We were there during July 4th week last year and the shuttle left early enough to get us to SeaWorld just as they opened. It was very convenient.

Alright, I guess the shuttle will work if you don't care about being there right as the park opens. Just means you may wait about 45 minutes if you want to ride Journey to Atlantis. Kracken will have about a 30 minute wait depending when you go. For each show, arrive 20 minutes early and you can get a seat.

Get to the shuttle load area 20 minutes before it's supposed to depart, and wait at the exact spot. When the bus is pulling up, stand up, and get right at the curb where it will pull up. I've heard a horror story of some people who were sitting on a bench waiting, the bus pulled up, everyone rushed it, and the people on the bench didn't get on. Ask where the line is, and make sure someone stays in it the entire time.

As I said, when we took the shuttle, we got to Sea World as it was opening. I went right to Kraken and rode it three times in a row with no wait and it was still empty when I moved on to something else.

Hi :wave2:
I was wondering about what the times are the shuttle heads back to the hotel? I was told to stay and watch the Shamu night show. Thanks :sunny:

Just got back from our trip (8/16/05 - 8/19/05). We stayed at RPR and told that the (free) shuttle would arrive at 10am to bring us to Sea World and to get there at least 30 minutes before as it is first come/first serve. It would then pick us up from Sea World at 6:25pm to bring us back.

My suggestion would be to definitely arrive early and wait by the curb. There isn't a specific line, so it's best to be near the front. Our bus was standing room only and luckily no one was left behind. It stops at Wet N Wild first and then Sea World.

The day was way too long for my family though so we took a taxi back to the hotel. Cost was $15.00.

Yeah, I hear you on the day being too long.
Usually I visit a park in the morning for 3 hours, then go back to the hotel room to rest. Then I go back to another park for the evening.

Waking up early to catch a free bus, and staying at a park until 6:25pm is a long day. I couldn't do it.

So for your next trip, look into renting the car, even if it costs more. The convience factor is worth it. Otherwise, take a cab or set up a limo ride.

But I'm glad the bus ride worked, even if it was crowded.

That's good to know. DD and I are planning to go to SW - we have season passes. DH was thinking of HHN and we were trying to figure out transportation. I figure it's easiest for him to drop us at SW whenever, the he can go to HHN at 6:30 and when SW closes at 8PM we'll just catch a cab to Universal, have dinner, and wait for him. We also just cab it back to WDW, too. How mauch Cab to WDW (DTD) would be? Or are there any public transportation options that are still running at 8PM?
