RPH Std Queen or King Suite?

I can get a standard queen room APH rate of $199 or a King Suite APH rate of $268. Is double the space worth $68?

It will be myself, DD/14, DS/15 and DS/toddler. Are the King suites that much nicer? It's just for one night, so maybe I should save my money? Decisions, Decisions,Decisions!

We have stayed in both and for three of us, we like the King Suite. DH and I stayed in the bedroom, while DS slept on the pull out sofa in the other room. There is a TV in each room. There is only one bathroom, however. There is an extra sink outside of the bathroom which is always a nice feature.

On the one hand I say--well, its only one night, and the standard room would certainly be adequate. Why pay the extra $76.94 ($69+tax). On the other hand, I think--well you are only staying one night--go for it!

For one night I would do it for the space. It is not a lot of more space, but it will help out.

Keep in mind the King Suite only has one king bed in the bedroom and in the LR area one pullout couch. Five people may be more comfortable sleeping with the 2 queen beds.

Check and see that 4 people are allowed in a King Suite. For some reason, I think only 3 are allowed.

There are only four of us. Myself, two teenagers, and my baby in a crib.

If we do the 2 queens, it will be me and DD/14 in one queen and DS/15 in the other queen with baby in the crib. If we do the suite it will be me and DD/14 in the king and DS/15 in the pullout with baby in the crib.

Except for the fact that with the crib in the room there will be absolutely NO SPACE in the standard room, I don't see anything special about the King Suite. It's an AP rate, so the chances of getting them to upgrade us (Loews Gold) to a Club room are non-existent regardless of which room we pick and the view means nothing to me.

We will be in the parks all day and having our free (thanks to the Entertainment Book coupon) dinner at CityWalk in the evening. If we have extra time and the weather is nice we will be at the pool. So unless someone knows something special about the suites, we will probably go with the standard room.

King Rooms - up to 3 guests
Double Queen Rooms - up to 5 guests
King Suite - up to 3 guests
1 Bedroom Hospitality Suite - up to 5 or 7 guests (depending on which connecting room is booked)
*All maximum occupancies require a rollaway at a cost $25 per day, available on a first come first serve basis. Additional charges apply for more than 2 adult guests per room.

King suite says up to 3. I came to this thread searching for the king suite. I wanted to know if anyone has had 4 ppl in a King suite even though it says 3., because next to the asterisk it talks about rollaways. Why would someone with 3 in a king suite need to get a rollaway, thats how it makes it sound, like if you have the max. occ. you have to get a rollaway. Also, I dont understand why 5 would be allowed in a dbl queen but only 3 in a king suite.??

Just wanted to add we are a family of 4. 2 sons age 5 and 6. I would rather book a king suite than a dbl queen and they could both sleep on the pull-out. I don't have a trip planned bust just searching for next summer(2007), maybe.

Two years ago when we looked into booking a King Suites for our family of 4, I am pretty sure we were told that only 3 people were allowed. I think they only allow for 1 person for the pullout. At HRH, the deluxe rooms are only allowed to sleep 5 and they have 2 queen beds and a pullout.

If you enter 4 people on the reservations website, no king suites will come up. If you enter 3 people, they will.

IN August DS and I were upgraded from a standard to a King Room. Since my brother, his wife and their son were also in Orlando at the time, I checked with the front desk to see if I could have three more people in my room. I was told I could, but it never actually came about. DB & Family stayed at AKL instead!
