SO glad I got up to watch this! I'm not very princess-y in real life but I was completely enthralled with the pomp and circumstance of everything! Loved it so much. Pippa's dress was absolutely fantastic, although they both have crazy insane bodies to be able to wear such form-fitting gowns. And ahhhh, Prince Harry... I loved reading their lips, Harry supposedly said "Wait until you see her" to his brother as Kate was walking up the aisle, and then when I saw William say "You look beautiful" to his bride I thought I might die from the adorableness!

What a beautiful couple and amazing wedding experience. It was very surreal watching this wedding I had watched charles and diane when I was 5.
I loved the dress and kates elegance. William and harry looked so handsome in their uniforms. So cute when he had top push the ring on. The same thing happened at our wedding, lol.

I had to wake up at 3 am where I live to watch but I would do it again in a heartbeat. I loved it!

What a fantastic Royal wedding. I watched it from start to finish with Mum and we had tea and cake after the balcony kiss to celebrate!

I thought her choice of gown was very elegant and timeless. I think anything more fitted would have been inappropriate for a Royal wedding. I also think her choice of bouquet was beautiful and understated and the trees in the Abbey looked fantastic. I bet there will be a lot of brides asking for lily of the valley bouquets now.

Goodness gracious that woman is beautiful and SO stylish... I thought her wedding dress decision was appropriate and very pretty, but I. am. in. LOVE. with her second dress!!!

why can't we get away with wearing big ol' fancy hats here in america? they always look so neat...

from what i can see, the lace top looks absolutely gorgeous! though i saw that there is a long train and i have to say i'm slightly disappointed about that.

Just popping in!! I really wish Kate could have worn something sleeker--- I love her sister's dress!

i love the fact that she had a smaller bouquet... it fit very well with the look she was going for.

The resemblance is more the silhouette than the actual dress. Very definitely similar. It was also a bit reminiscent of Princess Grace's dress, I thought.

What a wonderful day it was!!! Here is my HO (for what that's worth!!!)

Rosworms - Gracious, I didn't know that hats were not routinely worn for weddings in the US!!! I am sure you could get away with wearing one!!! Start a new trend!!
Shame you were disappointed in the train. I think it is difficult to get away with not having one when you have such a long aisle!!! I loved it!!!

Doombuggy - I don't think she would have looked better in something sleeker (she can do that anytime with her figure!!!). I think her dress was perfect for her and such a big occasion!!

rosworms - Funnily enough, this was my only dislike of the wedding, the major lack of flowers!!! I really wish Catherine had injected a bit of colour into proceedings!! With ivory bridesmaid dresses and cream and green flowers (and trees, which were not my cup of tea), I think the Abbey could have benefited from a subtle colour lift!!
There were so few flowers and I love flowers at a wedding!!! Pippa had none at all!!! I would have liked to see some slightly bigger bouquets and buttonholes, and a bit more colour in the personal floral and Abbey decoration. As I say just MHO!!

GIJasmine - The kissing the bride thing is, in fact, not a British tradition at all. It is starting to appear in a lot of church weddings here now (I assume it is a US tradition, but I may be wrong), but this was a very traditional wedding!!!

Amy sweetie - I agree about the likeness to Princess Grace's dress!! Very elegant!!

Princesswendy - I loved the reception dress too!!! Although, again no colour!!!

All in all the most beautiful of days!!! Princess Diana (bless her) would have been so proud!!! I hope they live happily ever after!!!

You are not allowed to kiss in Westminster Abbey, and as only royalty can get married there I think its safe to say the no kissing in Westminster Abbey is British

Charles and Diana were in fact the only royal couple to kiss in public on their wedding day, and this was done on the balcony of Buckingham Palace. William and Kate followed suit this year

The dress definitely grew on me as the day went on. I think I was just sleepy first thing in the morning. I DO think it would have looked best sans sleeves--- BUT the sleeves were appropriate for the occasion.

I did, however LOVE HER SECOND DRESS!!!!!!!!!!!! It was GORGEOUS!
