Kate's dress is lovely; sort of reminds me of the one Julie Andrews wore in the Sound of Music. I do love her sister's dress too.

Westminster Abbey looks "busy" but it is beautiful. Can you imagine getting married in a place like that?

I love all the hats too! That's one of the reasons I joined the Red Hat Society (even though, as of yesterday, I've got 4 years to go before I turn 50). I love the hats some of the women in the club wear - some are so elaborate!

Yes! It does look like the Sound of Music dress! I *love* that movie!

No, there was no kiss; they announced beforehand there wouldn't be one. I don't know if that's a "royal" thing or a Church of England rule ... but Charles & Diana didn't kiss either.

I'm also wondering just what Prince Andrew's daughter is wearing on her head!!

It is a rule of the Church of England that they are not allowed to kiss in Westminster Abbey. The kiss will take place on the balcony of the palace around 8:35 am EST.

The resemblance is more the silhouette than the actual dress. Very definitely similar. It was also a bit reminiscent of Princess Grace's dress, I thought.

That must have been what I was thinking - not quite the actual dress - just the design was similar. Princess Grace had the lacy dress.

Either way - I really do like Kate's dress.

Yes the dress is definitely like Princess Grace's dress. I like the neckline on Kate's better, but the waist on Grace's better. I wish she would've been a little more modern with the silhouette - a ball gown for a royal wedding is a little too expected lol. It was a little safe.
