How far in advance do you have to book if you wish to stay in a Cat #1 Suite? Thanks for any info/thoughts!

Also, if you have stayed in one please tell me which & aboard which ship, along with your thoughts. thanks!

Basically, you need to book the Royal Suite the day it becomes available. It's not often that it stays available.

Consider that there are only 2 available on each Magic cruise, and only 50 or so such cruises per year. Not a lot of supply for a lot of demand.

I stayed in the Roy Suite in March 2003 and would book it every time I had the opportunity if available. Otherwise I'm always ending up with my alternative, which is a Cat 3 connected to a Cat 4.

The suite is nothing short of magnificent. All of these great pictures you see on these boards do not do it justice.

Thank you for your response!
I called, and booked a Royal suite for Jan. 06. I guess you're right as far as booking as soon as they become availbe. I asked the gal when the next batch of dates would be availbe to book. She didn't know, but suggested that by April, the next year's bookings would be available. :) Thanks again. :)

Which one did you book, Roy or Walt???

We took a peek at the Walt suite before debarkation of our last cruise. It was stunning! I felt like I was in a suite at the Four Seasons. Great master bathroom with a huge shower. Lots of windows make it light and airy. Beautiful light woods. I think the Roy suite's wood is a litlle darker. I don't think you can go wrong with either one! :D

We're only a family of three and really don't need that much space. We booked a 2-bedroom suite for a January 2006 (Eastern) cruise. Can't wait! :cool1:

Budwmn - I booked the Walter E. Suite. We don't need that much room either, but this will be our first cruise and since I'm "iffy" about if I'll enjoy it (DW is the one who wants to cruise) I thought this would be a good compromise. I love all things Disney, but I'm concerned that the limited space of a ship will feel confining to me when compared to the 47 square miles of WDW. Thanks for your observations - the room sounds nice.
