I'm sorry if this has been "over asked" but did not find much with a search. We stayed at HRH in 2003 and I am trying to decide to stay at HRH again or try Royal Pacific this time (Sept). Could someone give me a little info (distance from the parks, is RPR further??) Thanks guys!!

I really like both hotels but love RPR! It's so beautiful. RPR is a lot closer to IOA than HRH is, while HRH is a lot closer to Universal than RPR is. The walking path from RPR ends up right next to Margaritaville. I'm sure you probably know how far Margaritaville is from IOA...not very. I think RPR is just a bit further to IOA than HRH is to Universal. It didn't feel like it was a huge noticeable difference though. In fact, I usually chose the walking path over the water taxi. :)

RPR is closer to Starbucks(and Margaritaville).'Nuff said!

There are three ways to get to the parks from all resorts- walk, bus, water taxi. I assume the question of distance relates to walking? RPR to US via bus is not much of a walk at all but walking it is a hike, especially when you leave the park at night. Access should not be weighed too heavily in your decision since they both are close to a park. HRH to US and RPR to IOA. HRH is closer to US than RPR is to IOA.

What about the starbucks within US? Simialr distance HRH-US starbucks as RPR- CW Starbucks???? plus AP discounts applicable in US Starbucks. Granted it's smaller but as I only eat their banana bread and can get it in US I'm happy. As long as I get my triple cappucino I don't really care about their food :)

I have stayed at both resorts and found I really enjoyed the walkway from the R.P. better then the one from H.R.H. I also liked the R.P. decor better.
Good Luck on your choice :wave2:

Thanks!! We have stayed at HRH and I felt the walk was fine (not too long) and it seems that with RPR is is about the same (only opposite directions). I think we will go with RPR as it is less expensive (especially w/o the entertainment rate). Thanks again.
