I am trying to plan a trip to IOA/US for the end of April. Rates here are $234 per night!!!!!!! Isn't this a LITTLE big expensive? :sad2: Can any of you that are regulars to RPR tell me how I might get a cheaper rate?

Thanks!

Kim :cool1:

Some discounts are available, wether they've been released yet or not for that time frame I do not know. I think the AP rates were just very recently released, as I just booked our room 2 days ago. I got an AP rate for Jan. 10-15, at $119.00 a night. DON"T think you will get that rate in April though - the prices seem to be based on "seasons". I think April would tend to be more.

When I called to book our room, the reservationist told me that the ENT. rates, are not avail. as the contract had NOT been renewed!! So, I don't know if ENT. rates will become avail. or not.

As for now, If you have an AP, I'd check that rate, or if you don't have an AP, I'd keep watching, and maybe discount codes or rates will come out for the time you'll be there. Usually when they come out, it's posted almost immediately.

An AP rate is an Annual Passholder rate, depending on how long you'll be there, it may be worth it to purchase one. Even if this will be your only trip during the year. We live in La. and purchased them, when they had the add the 2nd year free deal.......... it saved us a TON of money..... well worth it with all the discounts the AP offers!!! Good Luck

I just recently booked our rooms for the end of April and had the same problem getting a decent rate from the hotel directly...I think $210 was the lowest rate (AAA). I had gotten a rate of $189 from Orangevacations.com and when I mentioned that to the gal, she said that if she could pull up the same rate from them on her computer, then she would match it and it worked. Still not a great rate, but better I could get from the Loews website or other hotel websites.

jump on it, the $210.00 is as low as AP and FL resident rates are looking at the end of april.

AAA rate for a Standard room at the end of May was quoted to me as $179.20 at the RPH. Called the 1-800-BEASTAR #.

When I called back to the same number I got a very helpful lady and she found me a AAA rate of 255.20 for a club level room. That rate is also the same for AP's.

Just keep asking. If you don't like what they quote you and won't tell you anything else, then thank them and tell them you will think about it. Had to do that and when I called back got someone that was more helpful and nicer and she worked with me. Just depends on who you get sometimes.

Good Luck!!

Thanks for the tips, I am going to call back today and try to get a better rate. I will also mention orange vacation.com

I just tried to get information on site orangevacation.com. I can't even understand the site. Does anyone know anything about it.
