ROYAL PACIFIC RESORT INFO...FAQ and more......

Does it get very crowded at check in during the morning?
Never crowded when I'm there. I usually go for a stroll around 6-ish in the morning and I often see luggage-free people rushing to the check-in desk. Maybe 5 people maximum.

Also how long should I expect it to take to get to the park and what is the fastest route?
Walking would be the fastest. It takes us about 10 minutes to IOA at a leisure pace.

Has anyone heard anything else about the Islands Dining refurbishment?

In the UOAP Passholder Appreciation Days webpage, which runs from the middle of August to the end of September, there’s this comment:
Code:
One (1) complimentary Krab Rangoon with the
purchase of qualifying adult dinner entrée
at Islands Dining Room, per Passholder,
per visit.

Makes me think that the refurbishment, if it occurs, will only close sections of Islands Dining.

Can someone please let me know where the Resort entrance to UO is exactly? I read somewhere that it is behind Hard Rock for is that the Hotel or the Restaurant. I'm trying to plan out for HHN. TIA

The resort walking path entrance to CityWalk? For RP (and SF, CB, Aventura) it's next to Margaritaville, near the bridge to Islands of Adventure.

Resort entrance has been to the left of the gates. There should be a sign and TMs will help you if you don’t see it (:

We usually start our vacations with 2 or 3 days at US/Royal Pacific and then head to WDW for the rest of our trip. So we’re used to doing that but we’ve always ever driven to Florida before, so we would stow our luggage in our car on checkout day and head to the park for the day then we’d leave that afternoon or evening for Disney. But for our upcoming trip in January we’re flying, so not sure what to do with our luggage after checkout on that final day. Will bell services hold them for us until late afternoon or evening?

Yes. You can leave your luggage with Bell Service when you check in and your room isn’t ready, and when you checkout but still have time to visit the parks, go for a swim, and/or do other activities.

Yes they will!

Arrived this afternoon such a nice view! And the lobby smells sssooo good!
Tried to post a pic but it’s saying the file is too big so I’ll try when i get home next week

Glad to hear it, have a wonderful trip!!

Just returned and RPR is beautiful! Very clean and everyone was very nice. My only caution is if you order room service and you ask to have the table removed it could take a long time and the tables are such that they cannot all be easily removed yourself…we could not figure out how to re-fold the sides.
Overall though great stay. We had a room in tower one and could see the hulk coaster out our window. If we pressed against the window we could also see some of the drones from the UO evening show!

Glad you had such a lovely stay.

Yes, when we call for them to come and get the table we always leave it outside the room and yes, the table is quite awkward to dismantle so we leave it with the sides up.

That does sound like a lovely view you had, glad to hear it!!

Just returned Saturday from our (happy place) UO stay at RP. We had 2 two-bedroom hospitality suites in Tower 3, on floors 4 and 6. We (eight of us) had an amazing time!

We really wanted to love the hotel but didn't. We have previously stayed at PB, HR, SF and now RP.

The people are lovely, Tuk Tuk in the lobby was awesome for snacks and Jake's was good (we had apps and cocktails). We weren't able to grab a drink at Orchid's as the timing just didn't match up with our plans. All that said, the hotel itself did not wow us. Furnishings in the rooms were old and worn and the suites did not have the same pieces - ours was missing a dining room chair and glass on the table. Living room had no table but instead mismatched ottomans. We found the bathrooms to be small. We did like having 3 bathrooms in each suite. We just weren't feeling it and would not stay at RP again. Just my two cents.

Glad you had such a lovely trip, but sorry to hear the rooms let you down, that is disappointing.

What did they say when you told them of the missing chair and glass!!! I couldn`t even begin to imagine what happened to them and why they were missing!

Hi Schumi! That the rooms have varying furnishings. The table seats eight and the glass that was on it in one of our rooms was a very large piece - I can imagine how easily something like that would break with the slightest tomfoolery and would not be replaced. The chairs were unnecessarily heavy, so much so that the tiles underneath them were cracked and moving the chairs just to be able to sit at the table took a bit of effort. We did all bring up dinner from Tuk Tuk on our first night since we did not have a reservation anywhere and the table came in clutch, everyone was comfortable, and we had a lot of fun at what we called the board room. :-)

Universal is our happy place and we had an amazing time. Can't wait to go back next year.

I remember the size of the table in the Hospitality/Presidential suites, we called it the board room too lol....it is a huge table, especially when it was just the 2 or 3 of us.

It is a shame things are worn in some rooms now, 2016 was when they were refurbed last. But, glad to hear it was a wonderful trip and yes, here`s to next year!!!

Just booked our first stay at a Universal hotel (Royal Pacific) on Monday, how long before I will receive a confirmation. Do they email and send confirmation letter like Disney does?
