I just called to check pricing on one (1) room for 2 adults and 1 child (13 yrs old) for 6 nights in August 2007. I was quoted a AAA price of $191.20 for garden view, does anyone know of a cheaper price than that. We are only goig to use the room to sleep and shower, looking for something a little cheaper if possible.

Someone told me about the Loews card and I got an form and applied. Can you get a cheaper rate with that than AAA???? Please advise trying to stay on a budget. :cool1:  :cheer2: :grouphug:  :woohoo:

I would book the AAA rate (best rate going) and if AP rate is cheaper, call and change it to that. You won't find out the AP rate until closer to your travel date....but, for August, that sounds about right and you might not get much cheaper (well, till AP rates are out anyway!) Book it! :thumbsup2 The Loew's First card gets you the "perks"....upgrade, welcome gift, fitness center access, late check-out, etc......it's not a "discount" thing...it's a "perk" thing!

That's a pretty good price for August. Remember Royal Pacific is comparable to the high end moderates at Disney. It is not a value hotel.

To say the least!!! Queen sized, comfy beds.....so nice!

I am new to the forum and not sure about the abbreviations. What is AP and how to you get this or who is it for? :cool1: :cheer2: :yay:  :woohoo:

AP is annual pass. As long as one of your party has one you can get the annual pass discount. If you go on the website, use APH as your discount code. It might not be much yet. You don't need to have a pass to book your room. You can get one later if it looks like you are going to be getting a really good deal with it.

This August Loew's had Signature Summer promo and RPR was $159. Then RPR had a Summer Savings promo in late Aug./Sept. for $149 and AAA was $159.20. That would save you almost $200.

$191 is a great rate, and most people get the best deals with the AAA card.

You can call about the promotions, but they're usually limited and sell out quickly. You'd have to speak with a human, ask about the promo, they'll tell you it's sold out, you keep talking, and see if one magically appears after you keep saying you can't afford to go at the higher rate.

Thank to all and especially the abbreviations that really helps. I will just keep checking rates until I get one that will work for my family and budget. :yay:  :cheer2:

mivictori~ just so you are aware, a lot of peeps here will book using AAA rate ...just so they HAVE the room. The rate can always be adjusted later if you find something better. A lot here believe it's better to "have the room on hold" than to wait and possibily be sold out. You are going to pay a bit more for a room at Universal than say, a value at WDW, but the FOTL pass is worth it...AND the resorts are nicer than said value resort at WDW. I know it seems like a lot more money out of your budget, and my DH thought so too this past year of planning, but once we were there, he said it was the best money we ever spent (staying at on-site hotel). Hope this helps....good luck!

I was considering staying at the RPR hotel in July 2007. Was looking into a 1 bedroom king suite. :)
Does anyone know if this type of room has any kind of kitchen or a fridge. :confused3
I know the 1 bed villas at Disney all have full kitchens etc :thumbsup2
Any info will be appreciated. :thumbsup2

Does anyone know if the Continental Breakfast at Orchid court is complimentary? I can't find a price listed for it.
