We have pulled together for to long a time now to not finish!!!!

I just finished reading the updated first page.

As of now I have RC #1, #2, #3, #5 and Tink during my stay!!!!

Tink and #2 are heading over to AS Music and #1,#3 & #5 are heading over to POP when I am done sitting. The guys at POP LS are going to think I am a loonie toon!!!!!:rotfl::rotfl:

I will keep and eye to see if any newbies fill any of the spaces.

Just tell them you are bringing 1/2 the town with you to WDW when you get to your resort and when leaving...well...it's the other 1/2 of the town coming in to stay at POP.

OMG....I was just on the phone with mousermom09 and the new seat she just put on tore out. the only thing that is holding it together is the patch.

BUT

As we were talking and trying to figure out WTH was the problem and I asked her to check and see if she could find a model number. SHE FOUND IT! Instep keeps telling the stroller is model AR11-340B.....THEY AREN'T!!!!

The Stroller is 11AR265!!!!!! OK...I am calling instep in the morning as I now know they are sending us the entirely wrong seats. Thus they are tearing out!

I've got 10 days to get this fixed and I am insisting they send us TWO replacements immediately and preferably overnighting them.

HANG TIGHT EVERYONE. I'm calling MRSDENNISON to let her know what is going on and to get the EXACT MODEL # on the stroller too. Hopefully I can get the seats to the next swappers before they get to WDW.

Cross your fingers I can get instep to see WHERE the error has been.

They wanted more pics and for the life of me I can't remember which swapper took a bunch of shots of the stroller and emailed them to me. I forwarded them to the angie (that I do remember) and she sent me an email saying it was this model (11AR340B) and I ordered the seats and paid for them.

That's when the seat started ripping out monthly. Each time I called, I complained about workmanship but it wasn't workmanship it was the wrong seat...due to them providing me with the wrong information.

OK...Hopefully they have kept records of all communications. If not, we are back to square one and ordering our own seats.

PLUS #2 does need a canopy as the plastic window is shot and unfixable. ANYONE??

OK, I am waiting on a return call.

The no longer make 11-AR265 and that is why they updated the seats to the new 11-AR340B...thinking that they would work. Which of course they don't...UGGGHHHH.

I'm going to try to get hold of the original swap leader as she is the one who purchased them. They are still under warrenty for about 2 weeks...so if by the magic of WDW, she still has anything...an email confirmation, a recipt, a bill...Instep will simply replace #1 and #2 strollers and we will have to ship the two old ones back. But they will pay for the postage for the return of the old strollers...phewwwww. They will ship the strollers to me (if I can get any paperwork on them) and I will have to ship them down but if it means the swap can continue....... :)

Plus waiting on a return call to see what they can do on their end. If Disney magic can work in Ohio...please sprinkle a bunch on the swap right now. I'm freaking over this...I really want/need to continue the swaps until the end.



OHHHH YEA! The new #5 seat is in...wahoooooo $14.95 plus shipping now to see if we can get someone to donate the new seat. ANY TAKERS?

WOW Maddi - so if the original paperwork is found, then Instep will just replace the entire stroller?? Wouldn't they be willing to replace ALL of them since it's been them screwing around with the wrong model numbers on the new seats?? How many seats have you been through in the past few months? I may be missing some key bit of information but I'm just wondering why it's just #1 and #2 and all of them.

So what's the chance of that original paperwork showing up? I wonder if the original purchaser can have her credit card company dig up the transaction???

Sending tons of pixie dust as I know this wuold solve MANY headaches and worries for so many of us - mostly YOU!!!:worship:

I'm so glad you've solved the mystery of the seats. :thumbsup2 If the purchaser bought them through Amazon(or anywhere online), Instep will accept an email w/ the purchase info pasted in. That's how I sent my proof of purchase when our stroller broke.

As for the original swap host...still waiting on a return call (provided that was still her number, we haven't talked in forever nor has she been back to the boards since Oct. 2008.

I'm still working on my options....if there is a will there is a way. :)

Funny thing, the strollers are still offered on the net. I found several websites with them. So that is going to be something I am going to bring up to INSTEP. To me, if they are still offering them to site to sell as new with a one year warranty, then there has to be seats available...somewhere.

I talked to both mousermom09 and sonnesolsun--the tears are in the exact same place as the others. It is the seat but not the tushy part of the seat. I do want to make the clear with everyone. It is the middle section on the bottom of the multi-seam where a child's leg sits. The only way they can be any danger to a child is if you let your child step into the seat or stand up on the seat.

The patch is holding the one stroller together fine. On the other stroller-sonnesolsun (#1 stroller), she recieved the new seat but we decided at this point to not put it on. She is very confident that stroller is safe. She is going to go ahead and stitch the seat and apply the patch to the underside.

Mousermom09 is sending the seat to me and if I can get any satisfaction, I will see if maybe adding a 1 inch piece of material to the area that always tears, taking it in to professionally sewn (industrial thread) and trying that.

The only problem is that the seats are total about an inch to short. Adding it-professionally sewn-with a reinforcing patch on the bottom should hold. Another thing I want to talk to instep about.

I know this sounds so silly because I do like the strollers alot...but we have bought how many seats...and it takes detective work on my end to figure out what the heck the problem is. Then when I tell "jane" she admits that we have been sent the newer model replacement seat each time because the other one isn't available anymore. HECK NO that doesn't work...something needs to be done to make this right with us. if they have seats there...one strollers to sell to websites...then please take two off and send them to us. That's the least they can do. I'm going to go through all me CC bills and see just how many seats was purchased (as I know they also have that information because she looked up my phone number and said "WOW, You have really went through alot of the seats...I can see that 340B doesn't work on 265 just from the number we have replaced for you) and see if I can present a strong case to get the RIGHT seats.

I'm on a mission...new "right" replacement seats, new strollers, I don't really care as long as I can get this resolved and keep these swaps going until Dec.


HAHAHA-I even thought about ordering two new 11-AR265 sending them to disney, boxing up the old ones and sending them back....evil aren't I! Onl thing is...they have the wrong seats on them! IRONIC isn't it.

Don't worry swappers, I will figure something out and get this worked out. :)
 
UPDATE ON #5

OK, when I talked to sonnesolsun I got an update on #5 (backboard) the only time you know there is a problem is if the seat is in the mid recline position. Her children (if I remember right) are 4 & 6 and in the upright position and the lay down position the seat backs are fine. The only time you notice anything is in the mid position.

THE SEATS ARE AVAILABLE...I'm hoping someone will please donate a new seat for this stroller. The price is $14.95 plus 4.95 shipping. Not much at all.

I have 1osfan checking out the rivot/screws and waiting his reply on this. He (bless his heart) is going to look it over and see what can be done. sonnesolsun didn't say anything about this issue and honestly, we were so wrapped up in the seat issue and getting it taken care of, I forgot to ask her to give me the lowdown on it.

I asked DebraW76 to check into the warrenty of it but she brought up a strong point. We don't have any pictures to show the damage....duh me. So I do need pictures of the loose screws/missing rivots...whatever it is unless it can be fixed at WDW.

Come on...we are so close to making it to the end of the year. If you can donate an item...please....we are almost there! I've made it a personal goal to make it to the end of the year and I hate failing. :)

Oh Maddi.....I am sorry that the week ended up being not so quiet her in strollerland!!!!

If INSTEP is still selling the model then they SHOULD have proper replacement parts or step up and replace the strollers. Goodness gracious they have even admitted there is a problem.

I am not worried about you getting things accomplished you have amazed everyone here so far with what you have been able to do.

OK, I just got off the phone with sonnesolsun and there seems to be a problem with #4. The bar broke between the two seats?? She is going to send me a picture this evening. NOT TO WORRY--This one is defnitely under warranty, I have the email from Amazon and will call them Monday, forward them the email, and get a new one.

I will also ask her to do the same for #5--take pictures of the sidebar so incase I need them (if it is rivots and not screws) so I will have them incase we need to get that one covered under warrenty.

She also stitched up the seat and said it is holding wonderfully! Wahoooooo...but I am going to stay on top of it with instep. HAHAHA they are going to not like me so much next week.

I'll definitely keep everyone updated.

REST ASSURED- THE STROLLERS ARE ALL STILL USEABLE. they are having minor issues. I want to keep them at 100%-compared to factory. But glitches happen so we are running at about 90%-compared to factory. They are still safe and useable but right now you can tell these strollers have been used for a while. It's not like you are going to walk up and say "OMG, I'M NOT PUTTING MY CHILD IN THAT RICKITY OLD STROLLER"...it's more like "YEP, IT'S A WELL USED STROLLER, NOW GET IN AND LET'S HEAD TO THE PARK" :)
 
Hello everyone! I'm next for #5 and would gladly donate a seat if there is enough time. We are leaving July 16 in the evening. Also, not sure exactly what is going on with the screws or rivets but my husband could take a look at it. Let me know what's going on. Thanks!

Maddi, i know you are doing everything you can AND more to get this going right. I am so sorry you have to deal with all of this with your all your new family to enjoy! :hug:

as for #5, i will have the stroller in 2 months and if i have to i can donate the seat now, but was hoping to wait in case we need it further down the line into September. Let me know what you want me to do, order it now or try and wait it out till we get closer to time. I would have to have it shipped to wwhoever is going next or to WDW.
