Here is what we need Donated...REMEMBER WHEN I SAY DUCT TAPE THAT ISN'T THE UGLY GRAY STUFF--THERE'S SO MANY COLORS OUT THERE AND YOU CAN'T EVEN TELL IT IS DUCT TAPE. :)

IN SWAP #1---UPCOMING SWAPPERS (sonnesolsun, Artist, 1osfan, and MG61218)
***We need the handlebar covered. It was suggested using a steering wheel cover and securing the end with colored duct tape OR tennis racked tape OR Pipe insulation securing it with colored duct tape.

I'd be happy to take care of the handlebar cover. I love duct tape and will make sure it looks good.
:)

Hi!

Not to take away your love of duct tape Artist a.k.a. Danielle, but I already have the handle cover and duct tape for stroller #1 and was planning on fixing it when we got there w/mrsdennison. I will make sure as well that I get an iron on patch (denim I assume) and mrsdennison and I will get it put on when the new seat arrives in her name. I'll let her know it is coming in case she doesn't see this post.

Where exactly is this denim patch supposed to go? Duh...guess I'll know when I see where the existing tear is, huh? Okay...THANKS for all your hard work Maddie!!!:cheer2:

P.S. Guess I need to pack an iron now too!!! LOL!!! Do you think Mousekeeping would let me borow one??? (staying at POP...)

I'll bring the duct tape just in case;)

It might be a good idea to bring it. I haven't had a report on #4 in quite awhile. You might get to use it on #4...let's hope not but you never know. :)

i have to say it is so AWESOME to pop on after a long day and see so many of us working together to help us all have a chance to use the strollers, i am so impressed with you swappers and honored to be a part of it :hug:

:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

Mrsdennison here.
I will help fix the seat in what ever way I can. My sister is sonnosulson and I'm sure she will be able to fix them. She is crafty like that.

This might be one of the last posts before I leave. I will try and update everyone of the stroller progress next monday or tuesday night. My family will have 1,4, and 5 between us.

You guys are awesome for taking on the responsibility of all three strollers. THANK YOU!

Have a safe strip to Florida and a grand time at WDW!!

You will not need to pack an iron. Pop rooms have an iron and ironing board in them. I used them last August when we were there.:goodvibes

Ok, I called INSTEP back with a streeeeeetched truth...Forgive me, if I offend anyone with a STREEEEEEETCHED TRUTH.

I explained that the strollers were going to be used for an upcoming trip which we (OK...Mrsdennison) were leaving a week from today for Disney and really need the strollers then. I explained with the Holiday, I was concerned that the seats wouldn't get here in time, so they are going to express ship them and I should have them by Wednesday.

Sorry but I really want to get swap#1 up and running. I'll pay to ship it there on Wednesday so MRSDENNISON, you should have a seat waiting for you when you get there or within a day or two. I WON'T HAVE TIME TO GET AN IRON ON PATCH so if you could/want to donate and iron one on the bottom of the stroller before you install the seat, that would be AWESOME.

Mousermom09...be sure to check on the sunshade for when you get there too. It's shipped and hopefully will be there when you get there or shortly thereafter. COULD YOU PLEASE DO THE SAME WITH THE IRON ON PATCH BEFORE YOU INSTALL IT. I know you have already donated a seat--I sincerely appreciate it---but if it isn't to much of a hassle, could you do the patch also? Just to reinforce the seat seam.

PHEWWWWW another problem resolved!

Maddi.....You can SSttrrretch it any which way you need to. I am so glad that you were able to get this resolved. Hopefully this will be the last batch that we need.
I will however keep my eye open for iron on patches so that I can spiffy up any of the strollers I am sitting while I am there.(I love snooping through the sewing room at my Mom's house!!:rotfl:) I already have needles and thread in my basket of need to pack!!!

Aaahhh...good to know...I think my DH would freak:scared1: if I told him I needed to pack one more thing!!! Although, I've already packed a suitcase for DD6 and DS4 (almost) for our Atlanta stay (pre-Disney) and then their Disney suitcases...now on to mine and DH's Atlanta suitcase and then Disney suitcase, plus if mrsdennison convinces me to be totally crazy, I will need a post Disney suitcase for a short camping trip on the beach along the coast of FL somewhere!!! Where, oh where did I lose my mind???:lmao: Probably somewhere along the way of making pressed penny tubes, Epcot passports, customized coolers, about 28+ personalized t-shirts, tip envelopes, character meal invites & envelopes, thank you cards for CMs and the like, (you get the idea!!!)!!! It's all about the magic though, right???:wizard:

I will be off to the fabric store tomorrow to find a denim iron on patch (as big as I can) to put on stroller #1 when the new seat arrives for mrsdennison and company!!! Don't worry Maddie, I asked her for her description for the meet up!!!:rotfl2::lmao::rotfl:

Thanks for helping us out!!!

HAHAHA....Yep you have been bitten by the Disneybug! Those are some awesome T-Shirts!

The designing thread is addictive isn't it? I have to literally force myself to stay off that thread! I think I spend almost as much making things from the design thread as I do paying for my package.

We have thank you cards, thank you mint covers, passport, autograph book, journal, mousekeeping envelopes, tip envelopes, tie-dye shirts, t-shirts, luggage tags, magnets for our door, window clings....the list goes on and on.:rotfl:

Tell me about it!!! I have pillow cases, bookmarks, doorhangers, magnets for the doors, mousekeeping and tips envelopes for all of our ADRs, and thank you cards w/lifesavers attached as well! Unfortunately, the only thing I really wanted to make and couldn't were window clings, as there is no STAPLES in the state where I live!!!:rotfl: I couldn't find printable window clings at any other store!!! And TRUST me I looked!!!:3dglasses I didn't make autograph books, as I did the pillow case and the kids picked out a little book to keep autographs in...but I am still debating...I have one day until we leave and a little ink left in the printer!:lmao:

See ya!

THANK YOU EVERYONE WHO HAS GRACIOUSLY DONATED UP TO THIS POINT! YOUR DONATION HAS HELPED NOT ONLY KEEPING THE SWAP ALIVE BUT HELPED YOUR FELLOW DIS'ERS.

I will see what I can find as far as the iron-on patch for #2. I am not exactly sure where it is tearing. I understand it is in the seam. Are we talking middle of the 2 seats or on the sides of the seats. Gosh...maybe I should just line the whole bottom of the seat in a big patch to try to help this seat through as many swappers as possible! :rotfl:

I will see what I can do about the foam for the bar. I had already talked to my DH about this. He said it should be no biggie at all. I certainly don't mind doing it....if I have time. I was up yesterday for 21 hours, which means I got about 3 hours of sleep last night...and had to be back up at 6 a.m. today for work. :surfweb: But I will not complain....I will be at Disney in 3 days...YIPPY!!! :cool1: I will let you know if I am able to get the stuff for the foam/cover for the bar. Which would work better....foam or steering wheel cover?

We used #2 in late May.. at that time the foam was still there just ripped. If this is the case the best fix is the cover the ripped foam with the tennis racket tape. We own one of these strollers at home and have done this on several occasions. It utilizes the foam that is already there and looks great after it is covered. The tape is less than 5 dollars.. we have gotten it at Walmart in the past.

:)

I am sure that is big enough!!!
Just look at where the old seat is ripped and try and iron on the patch in the same place on the new seat.
Thank you very much for doing this!!!
Hav agreat vacation!!:goodvibes
