I will take some sort of colorful decorations. Maybe it will help. Also, I did exchange messages with the swapper before me. Prior to your trip she was wondering about leaving it at POP since there is a break in the schedule, but I asked her to leave at BCV so we don't need to track it down (hopefully) when we arrive. After all of the recent mix-ups at POP, she will definitely be leaving it at BCV. Also, the swapper after me said she is staying at Pop Movies. I sent her another PM, but wondering...is this Pop Century or All Star Movies? If POP are we going to try to leave it there again ?

My other thought was to leave at BCV. I know this would be a pain to pick up, but maybe not as big of a pain as POP has been. If they have a car, it might work better this way. I sent her a PM. We will work out the details and keep our fingers crossed if it has to stay at POP overnight

I'm soooo glad it is not at POP! I can only imagine what would happen if the stroller was there for 5 days!

I just checked, the swapper after you is staying at Movies. YEA!!!! So no POP hassle there!

OK....who has been to Disney for Christmas for MVMCP? We are seriously thinking of sneaking down for a weekend.

We went in 2005. This was our first hard-ticket event and we weren't all up to speed on how to do one of these. We mostly did the rides and saw the parade...missed a lot of the other shows. Since then, we've also done the Pirate and Princess Party.

Anyhoo, the Xmas party is just simply wonderful. All the decorations at night, lit up. The Christmas colors ... and now they have the castle lit up, too. Plus all the characters in festive attire. I love Christmas season.

Now as for weather you have to be prepared for cool to cold conditions.

sounds great!!! we are thinking of changing out reservations for next year to closer to xmas time OR surprising the kids next year with a 2nd quick trip or the party!!

very cool! We are not going to the party this year since we're just doing a short trip -- 2 travel days and only 3 days in the park. Wah!

I sooooo like to go to WDW for at least a week...preferably longer...yes, I'm spoiled now. We used to only go for a short weekend but then we did a 12 day stay and I thought that was

I'm sure you guys will enjoy the party -- when we went, we mostly did the rides...waited f-o-r-e-v-e-r for the free picture (don't think they do that anymore) with Mickey, ate hot cocoa and cookies and watched the parade/fireworks.

Just got off the phone with the swapper before me. She had a TERRIBLE time trying to leave the stroller at BCV. They told her that they now clean out luggage services nightly. Anything left goes to lost and found. They did not want to take it. She played the "but it's her son's birthday, she thinks this is going to be here when she get's here" card and "Ken" was nice enough to keep it and put it in the back office - out of luggage services until I arrive. Let's just hope nobody moves it when Ken is not around. What is really concerning is that she mentioned he sort of got quiet, leaned over and talked softly about an e-mail that came out, instructing luggage services to not hold anything for more than 24 hours - basically acknowledging that they are not storing things for swappers anymore. So I am very concerned about having to leave for the person after me. I can try to pull out the stops, but what if they flat out refuse to take it? Trying to plan ahead for the worst here. Where else could I possibly leave it - or just gamble that it won't be sent to lost and found? A thicket of bushes somewhere?

OK...thinking...thinking...heaven help me think. I wonder if this is ALL resorts?

OK...it's to late to make any calls tonight to the Luggage services. So I'll have to call them in the morning.

Anyone have any suggestions?

I was planning on calling ASM tomorrow as well (on a no-name basis) - just to see what they had to say. I'm telling them that I'd like to leave a stoller for a friend who will be checking in and asking how long they will keep etc. Will let you know what they say and we can compare answers.

Fantastic! Plus I'm working on something in the background and hopefully it will workout and keep the strollers safe for the long amounts of time.

If they will just hold them for those single day spaces all will be good with that aspect and if my plan works out...we will get the stroller out of BCV backroom until you get there and keep the strollers safe when there is more than a day space.

Dang it...so close to making it to the end! We WILL succeed!!!

Do they answer phones at WDW

I tried the number the swapper gave me- ring, ring, ring. I looked up Beach Club online (oddly the number was off by one digit from what swapper told me - wonder if "Ken" gave us a more direct line or if there was an error???_ In any event - ring, ring, ring. Tried ASM (where I am leaving it) - ring, ring ring.

Does anyone know how the Owner's Locker works? If we need a key, that could be problematic, but if it's just a pass code or combination, then maybe we could join forces with other swaps and someone (multiple someone's) could donate a membership (I have no clue on the cost here, or if they would even rent a 'locker' to us for a short time period).

Just a thought. We're so close to the end, I'd hate for it all to fall through (especially since it's almost my turn )

EDITED: I just went and read the Owner's Locker 'brochure'. Doesn't look like they handle big items. So, you can ignore my previous suggestion.

But on a better note. I PM'd a fellow DIS'er who just happens to live with 5 miles of WDW and her SO works at WDW. She has most graciously agreed to pick up the strollers that will be there over the 24 hour mark...YEA! HATS OFF TO SANDRA9810!

Nothing yet! We can't get anyone to answer at the resorts. I'm not sure WHAT is going on but as soon as we find something/anything, I'll post it for everyone including the other swaps on the disboards.

I know but we are at least covered until the end of the year. I'm waiting on a reply from Sandra about the stroller between you and LauralF22. I'm hoping she will be able to pick it up at your resort so you won't have to take it anywhere. Hopefully she can meet your sister in person.
