Hello Swappers :flower3:

Well we are back from a wonderful vacation at the World and like Maddi, it was so good that we booked again!! We will be at POR this time from
9/11-9/18/2010!!

First let me say, Maddi you are awesome!! #5 was in great shape. the seat had a few stains, but everything else was in great working order. the gray "bracket" had a loose screw which my DH tried to tighten, but you still need to guide it into place a bit. seems the hole in the frame where the screw goes is a little larger than when it was originally made, but it does not inhibit the use at all. It does have TWO new rain covers and the new shade as well as a few goodies Maddie dropped off to me. I put them in a WDW bag and tied that sucker into the basket so POP couldnt lose it. I dropped it in LS at 7am and by 930am it was MISSING again!!! Bellem04 called me and they could not locate it, this is ridiculous, however, with some digging by her DH, wow, the stroller was located. I would NOT use POP LS at all!!

I did get the chance to meet Maddi and her daughter, Parker. Parker is too cute and told me all about her chickens and Maddi got a big hug! Maddi, wish i could have visited longer!! My daughter had a virus while at WDW and was running fever, poor baby, when maddi stopped by my room.

Maddi, thank you so much for the swap and all the work you do with it, it is a service i needed and would have been out of pocket for alot without it.

I am gonna go work on the MOUND of laundry and then type up a TR for you all, but i will say this... out of all of our trips, this was by far the LEAST crowded i have ever seen WDW. our only crowds were on Friday and at the MNSSHP on Friday, every other day was a walk on fun time, we even rode TSM 4 times in one day!! :woohoo::woohoo:

I think POP needs a new manager. How in the world can they (or movies) lose a stroller in a mere few hours. I really think they just go back there and close their eyes count to 10 and come back saying nothing is available.

I literally had to make them go back several times when I knew a stroller was there and they were saying it wasn't. I bet that one poor Cm was sent back 4 times in a row when he came out with nothing or a single stroller. There wasn't once in all 5 pick-ups that they came back the first time with the stroller.

It was wonderful to FINALLY meet you. Parker will talk everyone's ear off when it comes to her beloved chickens. We actually had to call home daily so she could get reports on them. She has a passion and a talent when it comes to them and training animals in general. Our dog counts, our cat will talk, her chickens ride bike with her, walk on leashes, play dead, dance, etc. Yet, she doesn't want to be a vet...lol...she doesn't want to hurt the animals. Her dream is to open an animal refuge someday. :)

Was your lil one better the next day? Poor thing! How was LeCelliers for you? TSM...LUCKY DOG! We only rode it twice!

Off to do more trip report for everyone. :)

Something must have been off with my palate....hahaha...it was by far our worse meal of the week. Maybe it was the hype from the boards, or us being spoiled on fresh organic meat, or maybe a combination of things but it wasn't good at all. My prime rib...I couldn't even chew it, it was that tough...not even a pink to be found and no juices at all..that's ow dry it was. Our waiter--took our order and left several times but no interaction at all. It was clearly a job to him. But Oh well, at least I can say I have finally ate there and check it off my list of things to do at WDW. :)

Hi...I sent you a pm and I had sent you a message before your trip..I see you had fun :cool1: I think you may only have a stroller available part of my trip we are coming to ASMusic 10/24-10/30 then moving to contemporary 10/30-11/3..I hope something is available at least part of the time...I would love to join the swap before it is finished

Maddi.....so glad that you had a great time. You are so much better at the TR thing than I am . Things have been so crazy here that I have still not finished.
LS was definetly the most frustrating part of all the stroller swap pick ups and drop offs that I did!!!
Most of the time I just invited myself into the storage area and had a look around for myself.:rotfl:
Looking forward to keeping up on the new thread!!! :thumbsup2

Hi Maddie -

I just wanted to let you know that we had rented a stroller from A baby's best friend, and when we picked up the stroller it was oldly simliar to the one we used with the swap in March. I start to check it out to see if it had any other contact info on it, but it did not. But on the seat there was a tear along the seam, as mentioned had happened to one of your strollers. It had been hot glued. So I am not sure if when Pop is setting out their "extra" strollers for people to use, that A baby's best friend took one of yours and turned it into their own.

The one we used in march had royal carrriage silk screened on the shade cover, this one did not. So if the shade cover had been replaced on one of the strollers after march, then it is probably one of the missing ones.

I kept checking by your room to see if you were there for you to look at it, but never managed to see you there.

Jamie

That would be fine as it keep everyone from running to another resort. I'm not sure as to where to leave it, but I am sure they will direct you in the right direction...either there or at the contemp.

Sorry!! I meant that I need to find this out -- I didn't expect you to answer!! too funny! :lmao:

I am so sorry to read this. We've eaten at Le Cellier twice -- 2 for lunch and 1 for dinner. Our family has gotten the filet, the NY strip and the fish and all times have been excellent from the wait staff, check-in staff and of course the food. (I've never had the prime rib...)

I just can't understand this place -- there are others like me who have nothing but praise and then I see lots of comments like yours...it makes me wonder if there are secretly TWO different Le Celliers...ya know, one owned by Disney and the other by Dennys:rotfl2:

I totally understand your reluctance to eat there again ... and maybe it is the organic beef thing...I don't know...I'm just sad that you had an awful time there and won't be trying it again.

Oh Shoot, I would have loved to meet you while we were there! I did meet MRSKRAMER and had several DIS'ers sign Our DIS-Poster...that was a lot of fun.

You know...I seen MANY of our type of strollers at WDW. Not only from A Baby's best friend but another company located in Orlando. Trust me, everytime I seen an instep I was checking it out. So much that Dh was afraid I was going to get arrested.

One time, on 9/18 we were in Epcot and was parking the trusty lil tinkerbelle stroller in the Nemo Parking area. There were two blue double jogging strollers parked in the area. So I zip over and snoop around the first one, it was an instep but had this huge green patch iron on the stroller from some company in Orlando that rented the stroller. The other one, when I looked at the handle I immediately knew it wasn't one of ours...it had a hand brake, like what is on a bicycle up on the top in the center. All I thought was, "Ohhh that poor stroller as it had the shade penned to the back and the seat belts were all frayed. It looked worn out but well used so I figured it was someone who really loved that stroller. Go to find out a couple days later, it was the stroller that CBR said was ours and shipped to DISINSEPT who left it for Goff1029 who left it at POP for me!!!

Anywho, That definitely could be the solution to the missing stroller from this swap and another swap. Both went missing within a week, both were INSTEPs and exactly like those that Orlando Companies use. #1 no longer had silk screen on the shade as it was changed several months back. You would think that they would notice the tags on it with my info but alas, we will never know.

I'm hoping...crossing my fingers and toes...the last two strollers don't go missing and hold up for a few more months.

I have two strollers here at the house. One is beyond repair unless I want to buy a new seat (both backboards are broken), replace the bent fork/shaft on the front tire, a bent axle on the one of the back wheels and needs a new shade. The other one has the grey things on the sides that need repaired, a ripped shade, and a really bad wobble. I'm hoping to get that one fixed for a back up.

Positive karma....we are GOING to make it for 10 more weeks! :)

HAHA I was back there...what a shambles! I keep thinking poor #1 is buried somewhere in there and if they would left me spend a day in there snooping you never know what I might have found!...lost #1...original #3 which was lost 10/08...maybe a hidden passage to the city under Magic Kingdom...Walt Disney himself?!?! Would it be fun to go through it...drag everything out of every nook and cranny and put it on the pavement out front until the room was completely empty! FUN FUN FUN.

HEY DISNEY--A new Money Maker to take care of those OCD guest you have....make us pay you to find the hidden/lost treasures at POP CENTURY LUGGAGE SERVICES. I would be the first in line to find the lost artifacts!:lmao::rotfl::rotfl:

Sorry!! I meant that I need to find this out -- I didn't expect you to answer!! too funny! :lmao:

hahaha Welllll.....I actually thought about calling them today but after 17 days off of work...it was pure HE** today or I would have called.

HAHAHA we were there just before the WINE weekend...maybe they were keeping all the good meat for that!

I really think it has to do with us buying meat locally. These are organic grain fed (he feeds the steers what is grown on his farm), they are young steers, and Angus meat. Spoiled we are, I guess. But I can't complain about the price (with Processing it comes to $1.95#), we know exactly which steer we are getting, and the meat is fresh. Not saying LeCelliers doesn't have fresh meat, but there is a difference. But to be fair, we don't like ponderosa, outback, or places like that either. We have been buying meat like this for years so it was probably just us when it comes to the meat part of the meal.

Who knows....someday we might try it again....never is a long time and someday never will come. :)

OK...who is ready for Pictures??
