I came across this article on the Yahoo finance page. Most of it is a recap on current events in the "rebellion," but this quote was surprisingly blunt given Roy's current tactics when dealing with the press:

>>>Eisner, he argues, has not invested in theme parks as he should, and the board of directors was ineffective.

"The upkeep down in Disneyland is sickening," he said, adding that the company under Eisner had built "half a park" but charged full-park prices at California Adventure, the theme park opened next to Disneyland in Southern California.

The park opened to mediocre reviews in 2001, but the company has added a number of new attractions that have proved popular, especially with younger children.<<<

Go Roy Disney!

Here's an article I just read called "What Would Walt Do?", describing Disney's eroding public image, the general public's mistrust in the company, and poor management by Michael Eisner, described by one observer as a "cult CEO".

There's some pretty scathing comments in it from both analysts and average consumers. Among them:

"The public's attachment to the old Disney name has changed to such a degree in the past five years, adds Geis, "that the special pixie dust is no longer [there]."
