Row row row your boat! July 28, 2013 on the Dream!

Is it too late to join the fish extenders? my family and i are very last minute vacation planners. we booked our cruise a mere three days ago(which seems crazy seeing as some of you have been on this site for months). My mom just told me about fish extenders and we would really like to participate. is it too late to join though?

by the way, i'm 20 (well out of the "child" stage) and LOVE disney (if you ask anyone in my family i'm probably the reason we're going on this vacation). i'm really excited to be going to disney world for my seventh time because this time we'll be going with my aunt, uncle, two cousins and our grandparents.

Ao excited to have more people here who will join our wonderful group!!!! My DD(16) will be happy someone closer to her age group will be on. We r not doing FE's but we r meeting in "D" Lounge at 3:30!
We are also enjoying ship.....no excursions.
We will probably get off the boat in Nassau, just to walk around.

Lots of adults dress up for Pirate Night ! You'll fit right in.
It is very easy to go to Atlantis on your own. We've been to the Dig a few times. Will be going to the Aquaventure for the first time so excited about that. Anyway let me know if you need any info on going on your own.
Our favorite thing to do on sea day is to relax by the adult pool. After breakfast We grab a couple of very comfy loungers that face the ocean .we'll stay until after lunch which we eat right there. Also the Cove Cafe is there also. I love their frappicinos. The dessert cooking class sounds good. I'll have to check it out. Oh another thing we like to do is play backgammon in the Sports Bar. Also trivia ! Oh man, I can't wait to be on that ship !

oh yes, I would love to know how to get to Atlantis on my own. Im afraid to book through Disney Cruise Line incase we decide that we would rather enjoy whats going onboard better. Since then we will have a feel of the ship and also have our navigators to know what we might miss if onshore. Thank you so much:thanks:

Dawn
Its very easy. Just walk off the ship and go to the end of the pier. There will be several taxi drivers there. Just tell them you want to go to Atlantis. Be firm ,they'll probably want to talk you into a tour ! :scared1: They'll let you off at the front door of the hotel. Go downstairs and if you don't see the desk selling tickets, just ask someone. I would leave Atlantis no less than an hour from when the ship leaves to go back, although it won't take 15 min.
If you and Scott would like to ride over in a cab with us, we'd be happy for you to join us ! :cool1: We are in cabin 8668 :thumbsup2 And we'll be at the DisMeet the first day.

Okay okay okay! I JUST got my docs with my room assignment! I've updated the FE spreadsheet.

If anyone still wants to join the FE go ahead and sign up under the appropriate deadline date. If we need to, we can all decide a couple of weeks before if we want to combine. I know lots of people have some extra items. I'm personalizing a lot of mine, but I'll have a few items that might work for late comers.

Hey Everyone! I booked our first Disney Cruise tonight. This was a totally spontaneous last-minute decision. We couldn't decide on what to do for our family week of vacation (kids out of camp, wife and I off work), and this seemed to fit the bill. I'm not sure who is more excited, my wife and I or our kids (DD 12, DS 9, DD 6).

I need to start reading this thread but with 18 pages, it might take some time.

WELCOME !!!:welcome:
Don't miss our Meet and Greet , 1st day, 3:30 (right before the safety drill)
In the "D" Lounge on Deck 3, just aft from where you board the ship. :cool1:
Have you cruised with Mickey before ? If not, let us know if you have any questions ! :thumbsup2

We finally got our room number!! 7062. I will update the spreadsheet. The kids are getting excited. I'm almost done with our FE gifts! And we can't wait to get out FE in the mail.

Pam

I know you decided not to do the FE exchange, however, I do have something for Cailey and really hate to throw it out :scratchin. Could you give me your cabin # OR if you'd rather not, I'll leave it at Guest Services with your and Cailey's name on it. :confused3

Hope you enjoy your cruise and that Cailey has a wonderful birthday :cheer2:

It's been a busy week in the Sheep family.
On Friday DH has knee surgery for a torn meniscus..... we knew it's been coming for about 3 years but of course it blows at the worst time possible.
He had the surgery and once the drugs wore off he was walking around with no problems. I knew it would be a quick recovery but.. wow.
On Saturday... we finally told the little Sheeplets we were going to WDW and NOT Canada. The neighbors heard the screaming it was that loud.

We still haven't told them about the cruise though... that will come the day we board....

It's almost here!!!!!

Your kids are going to be thrilled ! I love surprises !!
Hope your husband knee heals and he recovers soon !!

SeidelHD,

Welcome aboard! I sent you a private message about the possibility of my DD12 and yours exchanging emails. Also, if any other Disboarders have a child around that age that would like to exchange emails with an excited DD12, PM me.

Plaidsheep,
I hope your husbands recovery continues to go well. DD12 had two surgeries to repair her meniscus 5 and 7 years ago, I know it isn't fun waiting for it to happen.
