I've been checking out the prices for airport transportation and wondering if anyone has promo codes for shuttles. I just priced out Super Shuttle and Mears. Mears comes out a dollar cheaper than Super Shuttle with a promo code. It's just the 3 of us so a shuttle should be cheaper. Thought about renting a car but I haven't found anything for under 200 plus would need to pay for daily parking (staying at the Dolphin) so that negates any savings. We have no issues using Disney transportation so a car isn't a necessity.

Any ideas or recommendations? Thanks.

Have you tried the Mouse Savers code with Super Shuttle?
I haven't heard much good about Mears. They seem to be able to get it right with the DME, but their common carrier and taxi service doesn't get good reviews at all.

I guess that DME doesn't serve the Swan or Dolphin. That's too bad.

I didn't know that Mousesavers had a code for Super Shuttle. Newsletter should be arriving in a few days and I'll look for it. I've used Mears before but was hoping to find something cheaper. Maybe with the code, it will be. Thanks.

I used the Mears shuttle to the Dolphin not too long ago. I did it in the interest of gathering info for this board!!! I was offered a ride by a friend, but I wanted to see how the Mears shuttle was. I was actually pleasantly surprised. I had prebooked my ride, and paid for it, but the kiosk had an issue so I had to go to the counter anyway. I was quickly directed outside to the podium there. There was a van loading up when I got there. I was given a beeper thing (like in a restaurant) and told that my ride would be there in less than 20 mins. Okay. I sat down to rearrange my bag, when my beeper went off. I got up and was put in that van that had been loading. I guess they were seeing how crowded it would be. We made some stops before we got to WDW property. It was actually kind of interesting seeing parts of Orlando that I hadn't seen before. And, the driver was a ton of fun....gave lots of area info. All in all, it took about 90 mins from the time I got to the Mears counter to getting to the Dolphin....about 45 mins longer than if I had used a car service. But, I figured the $19 for one way was better than the $75+ I would have been charged by a car company.

Now, with 3 of you, you may want to look into a car service...those usually run about $120 r/t, for 4 people, plus tip.

You can get the code on the mousesavers website - but the newsletter is definitely worth signing up for!!

That said I think its a super shuttle $4.00 discount r/t and for 3 people the price of either Mears or Super Shuttle is around the same as hiring a town car.

We love Tiffany towncar but there are also many other good town car services recommended here on the board. When we stay at the Dolpin (we also love the Dolphin!) we use them. You get personal service, help with your bags and most of the companies offer a free 30 minute grocery stop. We stock up on water, juice, snacks, cold breakfast and other misc items for the room and it makes the (slight) extra cost of the town car well wort it !

I may check out the town cat services since we were thinking of ordering from garden grocer anyway. So with a grocery stop, it might be cheaper and easier. Thanks everyone for your advice.
