DH & I are lucky enough to be able to go to Disney World TWICE this year!
We did a quick trip at the end of January to make up for an awful vacation (Carnival cruise) in November. We'll be at the AKL Club level (thanks to a great bounceback discount) from Oct 28 -Nov 4th.
A Little Background on us
Me
I've been fortunate enough to have a family of Disney Fans. My trips to WDW started at 1 and still are going strong today. I lost count at 15. I'm a librarian by day and a foodie all the time. My favorite part of Disney World? ALL OF IT!
DH
My DH had his first WDW trip on a whim in 2012 when we got a great deal. He was all prepared to not like it, but we have a convert ladies and gentleman. DH is our photographer for most of our trips as I take awful pictures.
The Food Plan
This year we've decided to try places that we've never tried before or in my case, not in a long time. We even have one day without an ADR (gasp!). My DH asked that we not be so rigidly scheduled, so I tried accommodating that, though it goes against my planner nature. We're going OOP this time because of the awesome deal we got on the room.
October 28th
October 29th (Epcot)
October 30th (Animal Kingdom)
October 31st (Hollywood Studios)
November 1st (Resort/DTD)
November 2nd (Magic Kingdom)
November 3nd (Epcot)
November 3nd (Heading Home
)
Phew!
This is also an OOP experiment to see how much money we spend on food. DH feels that the DDP is just too much food for us. I disagree, but I love food. Using the actual cost of food will help my fancy spreadsheet for future trips on cost analysis of free dining plan vs. OOP.
