Round Robin Dining in December

As part of our resort hopping to see the Christmas decorations I thought it would be fun to do a round robin dinner. We'll have a different course in several resorts. I thought we'd plan on 5 courses, appetizer, soup, salad, entree, and dessert. I'm open for suggestions, and I was also wondering when the resort restaurants open for dinner. It doesn't matter where we start or finish so please give me your best ideas.

what an interesting idea! definitely include wilderness lodge, maybe for dessert at artist point(opens at 5:30) and "the cobbler." have fun!!

I think I am going to have to steal your idea!

What a great way to eat and explore. Maybe Beach's and Cream for Dessert and California Grill for a entree. I'll be there in December and my family just might have to try somthing like that. Awesome Idea

What a cool idea! :smooth:

If I were to do this...I'd probably start early with the appetizer part, then have the entree during the main dinner hour, then have the dessert late. I would probably make the monorail loop, since it would be easier to get around...though I'm not really sure which way it goes around!! :o Anyway, maybe appetizers at California Grill (or do they have a lounge that serves apps?), dinner at the GF (Narcoossee's or Citrico's) and dessert at the Kona Cafe (have you seen the pics on some of those desserts?? WOW!). Also, you can't beat the Christmas decorations at these deluxe resorts--sounds like a really fun evening! :D

I've been doing a little research, and found that Territory Lounge at WL just serves drinks and appetizers. Anyone know where it is and when it opens? It said the hours are seasonal. I've also decided to present eachperson in our party with an ornament to comemorate our day. Any good ideas for a unique way to do this?

I think this is a great idea too! I would agree that it might be easier to stick with resorts near MK or the ones in the Epcot area to avoid having to travel too far between 'courses'.

If you wanted to start at WL for apps (sorry havn't been to this resort yet!) then perhaps Ft Wilderness for soup and salad. I understand they have a price for just this part of the buffet at Trail's End. Moving on to the monorail resorts in whichever order you choose. I believe it goes from the MK to CR to TTC to Poly to GF. You could take the boat from Ft Wilderness to MK after your soup/salad and continue along the monorail route from there.

Otherwise I would do the BW, S/D, Y/BC near Epcot.

Sounds like such fun! Let us know what you work out!!

territory lounge is located next to artist point. i know that does not tell you too much. as far as opening time, maybe 5:00. not really sure about that. seems like everytime we have eaten at
AP(we usually eat at 5:30), it is open.

You may want to do two different loops...

MK and Epcot resorts.

Because the Wilderness lodge isn't on the monrail, you need to plan this as your first stop, or last..if the MK is open late and the boat transportation is running.

The WL and GF have awsome Christmas decorations. We did the monorail loop last year, just to get off and check things out. We drove to GF, had dinner and then did the loop before heading back to our resort. I will say that the contemporary was rather disappointing. A few small trees here and there, but their main tree is out doors..you can see it from the ferry boats that run between TTA and MK. Poly was nice, but didn't have that "wow" factor that WL and GF have. I know GF serves drinks in the lobby and you can sit and listen to the various music offerings they have throughout the holidays. Think I would start at WL...have drinks apps, take boat to MK. Get on resort monorail. It will take you to contemporary first, then poly then end at GF..where you could have dinner..1900 park fare, narcoosees, citricos or V&A....several different options. GF also offers afternoon tea that might be a nice starting point. Have a car would make things easier when moving between monorail resorts and WL and getting back to your resort when you were done.

Epcot -- There are lots of great dining options here ..all within walking distance around the lake. I don't remember if it was the swan or dolphin..but they have a not to be missed HUGE tree, the beach club has a nice lobby display and the Boardwalk is stunning. The chocolate and gingerbread displays are wonderful.

A great idea!! I'm sure you'll have LOADS of fun!! Bring lots of film!
