I just finished the last of my 6 page homage to Disneyland's It's a Small World ride. It is my all-time favorite ride at all of the parks. Just rounding the corner and getting a glimpse of the exterior makes me happy and I LOVE the decor and the song. I had the chance to see the chime show exactly 12 hours apart - 11:30 am and 11:30 pm. Both times were equally magical!

The first two page layout covers the exterior and the chime show. The Jolee's pack on both pages came from my set in the WDW Event Swap I just hosted.

The second two page layout talks about my favorite parts of the ride interior and has the lyrics to the ubiquitous song. Matted lyric was made by galtscrapper from the ride swap a few years ago and the deco squares were from my first swap ever hosted by disneyland_emily back in 2005. I don't remember who made them - sorry!

This final layout covers the "ferocious shrubs" found on the exterior of the ride. They are just one last piece of the magic that combines to make this my favorite ride! The first layout contains my favorite pic of the exterior - I just LOVE the contrast of the deep blue sky, the sparkly white exterior and the shine off the gold accents. Bling flowers were from a $0.41 swap; Primas on the second page are from Diana Lyn's prima swap.

This should bring me to 15 for this round. TFL!!

Shauna - I had a huge stretch of time between going to DL and WDW as a little girl and going back to WDW as an adult. IASW was a ride that took on mythical proportions in my memory. I knew I loved it and I had that image of that grand DL facade in my mind. When I saw WDW's version, it was such a letdown (from the outside at least). I have got to get back to DL someday!

And you too, Nancy - why would I re-do it, silly? It just goes to show you how long I've been hoarding swap stuff. That character swap was I think my second swap here and I'm just using it now.

I confess, Mickster - I don't know which ones were yours. Some things I kept in their original bags, but most I have long since mixed together.

Only 2 pages tonight. It took forever, but I am really very pleased with the results. Thanks to PrincessNancy96 for the topper and tag from the Shows/Parades swaps she hosted in the later half of 2007. I copied her Mickey with Jungle leaf piece and added it a few other places in the layout. The 2nd page has only one swap item -- from our MIA ABC hostess. It was from the MK newbie swap summer 2007.
