ROTR transferring and nervous about CM driving Power Wheelchair

Our power wheelchair user is finally tall enough to ride ROTR! Yay! I am curious about the procedures though with the multi-stage experience. I assume he can stay in his powerchair until boarding the final ride vehicle. Here is my question. We typically prefer to drive and park the wheelchair to the place the CM needs it be for unloading ourselves instead of letting CMs drive it. It is loaded down with equipment and can be tricky to drive, even for our family that just doesn't do it often. We have never put it in manual push mode (and are maybe irrationally afraid to because we wouldn't want it to get stuck that way or something while we are away from home). Has anyone been able to put their own wheelchair at the end at this point in the experience? Or has anyone tried to park their powerchair at the end and transfer to a park manual chair for the queue and experience? Is that a thing? Any experience transferring on this ride from a powerchair would be really helpful.

Since you transfer at the ride vehicle but the end of the ride is somewhere else, I think the only way to park your own equipment is for one of you to miss the ride to stay with the chair while your child goes on the ride.

If they have a manual chair to change into, then I would think you could park your power chair at the exit easy enough by asking. I don’t know where you would get a manual chair though. I guess if this is super important to you, you could rent the wheelchair at the entrance area of the park.

You get on vehicle at LOAD at top and at the bottom you see UNLOAD. I think this is one where CMs will have to move the chair.

Unless something has changed wheel chairs are available at RotR. They prefer getting your ECV prior to the guest entering thr ride vehicle

It's a relatively short distance, backstage, to the unload area. A CM might let a member of your group move the power chair then walk back to ride load area

If you know where the powerchair’s manual overrides are, you can show the CM(s) how to put the chair in/out of manual mode.

CM's who work at attractions where WC's have to be moved are usually great at knowing how to move them. They do it all the time and see many different types. Speak to one of the CM's at the entrance of RoR (or whatever ride, as there are others where a WC may be moved), explain your concerns and they should help. Even if you do park it yourself, there is always the chance that a CM may move it while you are on the ride. It was good advice from another poster to become familiar with the manual move switch, as you may have to do it frequently at Disney.
