RotR Planning & Daily Boarding Group Discussion - *CLOSED*

At what time are the buses starting from the hotels? I started my vacation the days they changed hours and have had a hard time keeping up whenever I have a few minutes. My HS days are Tuesday through thursday and trying to come up with a plan. My nephew who is with us is in the spectrum so we have to plan around that and child swap. He loves SW, but does not like enclosed spaces so we will need child swap. I know we have to get a BG even for him right?

If he isn't going to ride RoTR, he doesn't need a boarding group. Only people that plan to ride the ride need one. He can come into the land and look around without one.

I’m so tired, I haven’t slept a wink.
I’m so tired, my mind is on the blink

5:23 Left BLT via personal conveyance (daughters in tow this time)
5:35 Parked Mickey row 305
5:43 In line, far right again, about 100’ from ticket window (further back than Friday, same arrival time)
6:20 Gates opened
6:28 In the park, BG 25 via app (there appeared to be fewer iPad bearing CM’s)
6:35- 8:25 Rode TSM x 2, Alien, SDD (SDD didn’t open til ~ 7:15)
8:05 BG opened
8:35 Entered ROTR cue
8:50 Line stopped same spot as Friday, break out the chips, water, bananas and Rey
9:45 Line moving again
10:10 Pre show
10:45 Exited the ride (backed up line in one area)
11:00 Left HS
11:15 Back at BLT

Daughters loved it, time for a nap, Christmas Party tonight.

Reportedly the line was at or past security for 30 minutes before admission began today. Suggests a pretty high tolerance for long lines at this hour before Disney opens the tapstiles. I think Disney feels some pressure not to allow the BGs to fill before official opening time.
Makes you wonder if they’re reading this thread. The two biggest complaints were that the BG’s were filling up long before the posted opening time and they were letting people ride twice. They fixed both those issues.

Took the boat from Swan... tapped in at 7:07 . Boarding group 100. Have to leave the park around 6pm for a flight back home to Canada... seems unlikely we will be called. Wish me luck 😉 So happy we were able to ride Thursday.

As others have said.... stay to the right!

You can always talk to a cast member before you have to leave. They have been lenient to some.

Do they update this daily? I'd love to see a composite average and all the days plotted together. Seems like they are just using a weeks worth at a time. Best I can tell, 3pm is the average time for the afternoon breakdown.
They post graphs throughout the day.

On their website, you can do a custom chart for any of the rides and parks they graph.

This change to 6am open stinks, it seems likely it will mean all BGs gone before 7am....

Going Weds, 7 am opening. Plan on getting to the park 530. We have a breakfast ADR at Riviera at 820 that I made months ago. We plan to take the skyliner there. Its impossble to be sure, but barring breakdowns, and plan to leave at 800 for the breakfast, then probably return-- what boarding group number x thru x do you think would really screw up our breakfast plans? I know there is a 2 hour window to return. I would forgo breakfast if it looks completely like our boarding group would be in the middle of it.
