RotR ILL$ purchase experience at 7am - post your times

Can you tell me where you see the option to “edit selections”? I just don’t see that on my phone. I have an iPhone 12. Thanks!

Using Slinky as the example, open the Tip Board and, if necessary, click on “Change Park” and select DHS.

Under the tab “Experiences” is the option to Customize the Tip Board with a small note “Edit Selections”.

Click on that and scroll down the attractions and check Slinky Dog Dash.

Then click Save and when it returns to the Tip Board Slinky should be at the top of your list under “My Top Picks”.

Hope this works for you.

FYI For some reason I can only edit selections on DHS and Epcot. I have no idea if that will change when I have park reservations for MK or AK (currently I have DHS today) but if the poster isn’t seeing it, that might be why.

You can cut some valuable seconds off that time by logging in to MDE ahead of time and going to the Tip Board. Then set the attraction you are looking for at the top of the otherwise alphabetical list by clicking on “edit selections” and selecting that attraction.

Then at the stroke of 7:00:00 hit the Tip Board tab to refresh the page.

I practiced doing that at home before the trip. It can be amusing and instructive to keep refreshing and watch the time rapidly go from 9 AM to 8 PM.

On my actual park day, the time showed at 9AM and I clicked through quickly to the confirmation and got a return time of 10:10-11:10, which I considered a win.
I cannot thank you enough for these tips. SDD was gone in 60 seconds this morning, and there is NO way I would’ve gotten it without your help. Thank you so much for sharing!!!

Thanks so much today is our first DHS day and so glad I saw this. I just set it up now and hope luck is on my side.

I refreshed the tip board at 7 but then kept asking me to sign in and sent a code and by the time all of that resolved the paid passes were gone. Is there something I missed that I need to do in the setup so that does not happen when we try for it on our next day there?

What park? I just checked Epcot and they still have paid LL.

Experienced the issue for ROTR. Was fine after that and was able to get MMRR today and did not have an issue with the paid Remy yesterday at Epcot.

If I'd like to use a gift card to purchase an ILL$ instead of the default credit card on file, will that push the time out further? Having not gone through the process yet I'm not sure where in the process the time you select is held for you until you complete the order. If GC payment is at a disadvantage I'd pay via CC!

We had that happen so many times during our trip. I never figured out when it was going to make me sign back in and use the code or how to avoid it. Also, my password is saved in my phone, but it stopped using that, and I had to go into my passwords every time and get it.

To answer the original question: we were able to get a time around 11:00 am when we got on at 7am. That is the time we were looking for, so I don't know what else was available.

I wonder if this has something to do with WiFi vsbeing connected to my provider network. I noticed here at home that everytime my wifi blips and I loose connection for a minute, MDE makes me sign in again. If this is true, I'll make sure I'm on network when getting $LL's .

That could definitely be it. We were on and off WiFi often (not by choice).

Yesterday someone we rode with on the bus said she heard sometimes if you keep refreshing the tip board even though it says nothing available you can get ROTR. Sure enough we tried it this morning have park hopper passes and it started offering times beginning at 5 pm and we got a 6 pm.

Do you have tickets and park reservations set up? Touring Plans had a recent article stating those were needed in order to do the edits.

When Genie first came out I already had park reservations for the trip we took last week and I started playing with the My Genie Day features. So, I apparently unlocked the “edit selections” feature on the Tip Board without realizing it had to be unlocked.

This morning, I edited my tip board before 7 and did the refresh at 7, nothing came up, I refreshed 2 more times before availability showed for everything but my favorited attractions. Those were still grayed out. I had to close genie and reopen to get them to show. Glad this was just a practice day. I would have been flipping out. Lol. However, im not trying for SDD and I'm offsite, so can't get ILL$ so probably would be ok to not be first in.
