Rosie's gone...

I don't know if anyone has seen this but it is a very interesting documentary on the "Jersey Girls". Some of the widows of 9/11 that pressed hard for the 9/11 comission.

I found it very informative.

Although I do not think that the goverment had a direct hand in 9/11, I wonder why they put so many road blocks up in the investigation.

There are alot of questions that I have about the goverment after watching this film.

This is not a conspiracy film.
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=3979568779414136481

That is a heartwrenching tape. Please everyone watch it..what do you have to lose?

I do not think that the goverment orchestrated 9/11. What I do find suspect is the BUSH family.

1. I have a hard time with how Pres. Bush didn't want a 9/11 commission.

2. If there was no immediate threat, why was Ashcroft on a charter plane leading up to the attacks?

3.Why were high ups advised not to fly that day?

The list of questions go on and on.......

I don't think they were the ones who did it. I want to know why they have so much to hide.

I agree with you. I think these things add up, esp. when you consider the fact that the Bush family has done business with bin Ladens concerning oil. There are too many unanswered questions to at least make him suspect. I am not saying he is guilty until proven innocent, but in my mind, he is deserving of suspicion.

When I was growing up my Mother always told me to keep myself above suspicion.

It seems IMO Bush actions do not not keep him above suspicion.

They seem to not care what ANYONE thinks. The disclosure of Cheney instructing the Secret Service to not to keep a log of his Official Residence visitors is the latest example.

Gonzales refusing to answer Congress & Bush again standing behind him.

Mr President do something to make me believe your Presidency is not corrupt. to the very core.

It always strikes me funny that the same people who think that this administration is the most ignorant and incompetant in the history of time, think that in the short time they were in office, managed to pull off a conspiracy on this level.

They're either incompetant idiots or the smartest people EVER-you can't have it both ways.

Come on let's think about this. After 9-11 EVERYONE was in shock. People were grieving and just trying to put the pieces of the puzzle together. The government and 'the RIGHT' (along with some ‘left’) did an excellent job of the convincing the people this is a time to 'pull together' and be ONE minded America. Many 'right' thinkers pounded the pavement with the 'if you talk against the President, you are un-AMERICAN'. People like OReily went to town with that BS. So, everyone fell in line. Senators passed the Security Act without reading it, Americans sent monetary donations in large numbers, Americans gave blood, sponsored families, and every News team -live or print (Left or Right) were almost AFRAID to question the moves of the President and his administration. Then time went by. People were able to bury their loves ones, and people started scratching their heads (IMO, the people started to think for themselves). They began to read more page 15 articles (instead of the bull on the front pages) and really listen to the Presidents speech, which ALL sound the same (like BS). Families of the victims of 9-11 were paid (with the agreement that they couldn't sue the government later), the government blocked many attempts into a REAL investigation and people started to get really agitation by Baby Bush (the President). Why? Because he couldn't find Osama Bin Laden – the one who pulled this off. He couldn't find one alledgedly sick man in the mountains.

So, baby Bush comes up with an idea. Because he had to get the focus off him and on WAR. Let’s create a diversion. Hey let's go get Sadaam. He tried to kill my daddy (Daddy Bush), so let's get him. I can 'kill three birds with one stone', 'fight' terrorism, bring down Sadaam, and get more oil. We'll tell the American people we are looking for WOMD (weapons of mass destruction). We know he has them because we gave them to him a few years back. Then a monkey was thrown in – North Korea. North Korea all but dared America to come in and 'break up' their WOMD programs. Why not go after Korea. BECAUSE they are allies with the Big Dogs. The Big Dogs that out number our servicemen by far. We'll let their allies worry about them. EVEN though in baby Bush’s first Union Address he said that WOMD was his first priority (which in retrospect proves he had WOMD on his mind from day ONE). Instead of going to North Korea he goes on a fishing expedition - besides we aren't REALLY looking for WOMD anyway. He couldn't find Sadaam at first so he killed his sons and placed their dead decomposing bodies on the front page of the papers. A modern day lynching!!!. And baby Bush is a man of 'God' - so he claims. We want their oil!!! We can start a war and have Haliburton (which recently announced that it will establish a new headquarters in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates) make some serious dough (Following the end of the Gulf War, the Pentagon, led by then Defense Secretary Dick Cheney, paid Halliburton subsidiary Brown & Root Services over $8.5 million to study the use of private military forces with American soldiers in combat zones). I'm not even going there about the fraud of this company and how WE the American people are picking up the bill. Yes I will. Halliburton and its subcontractors contend that billing discrepancies for the dining facilities stemmed from interpretive differences in their contracts, which required them to be prepared to serve a minimum number of meals per day. When they billed for these minimum numbers however, the DCAA countered that they should only be required to pay for meals served. Of the more-than-$200 million in question, $51 million was eventually retained by the U.S. Army Field Support Command.

So, in the overall scheme of things, NO, I wouldn't say this administration PULLED off anything. They tried, but was unsuccessful. After time has gone by the pain of 9-11 has turned to Anger, and you see and hear more and more people talking against the war. Baby Bushs' approval rating is ONE of the lowest in history. Although the AMERICAN people didn't see this before baby Bush was re-elected, they got it by the time the senatorial races began. His brother even lost his job (yes due to term limits) - but one Bush out, one more to go! Almost EVERY cabinet member was replaced for his second term, and many ARE or have been under some kind of investigation. So NO they didn't pull off anything, they took average of grieving people.

Emphasis mine.

To me, this alone discredits the entire post. I won't bother adressing all the other supposed "schemes."

I can see how you think this - the same people can't be village idiots and evil geniuses. Just to give you how I make it make sense in my mind (and obviously this is all conjecture) is one of two options -

1. George W. isn't that bright and he's just a mouthpiece/cover for someone (or several someones) who are evil geniuses in his family/close business partners to his family - maybe he really didn't have anything to do with the plot, just covered it up for them.

or

2. George W. is an evil genius who deliberately uses the "bumbling fool" persona to cover it up - like David Arquette's character in "Scream".

Money and power buy silence. I know of many people who I respected - bosses, teachers, friends, who turned out to be covering up horrible things - illegal things, harmful things for their friends or family or people who were bringing in money and notoriety to their organization. I was heartbroken when I discovered some of these cover ups over the past few years. People who said one thing to me actually did something else in order to cover for someone else. False faces are a common theme in this world, unfortunately.

Again, these are just some ideas that occur to me when I consider how this could happen.

I don't believe Bush can be considered guilty until this is really investigated and proven. I won't say he definitely did such and such because I really don't know - but as another poster phrased it, he is not above suspicion.

The the conspiricy theories are possible, I for one would pray they are not for real. But to say that any of these politicians are great americans and clean as whistles is really fooling ones self. Politics is all about money greed power and ego. Dont kid yourselves. Left right middle makes not a diffrence. The fact that people blindly follow these people is painful to read and watch.

One should think with there heads, see with open eyes and NEVER blindly follow a politician cause they are telling you what you may want to hear. If we continue to go down that path , we will be in 1984 before you know it.

I doubt you would believe anything that anyone said against Bush. You seem to hit the koolaid pretty hard.

I pose 1 more question.
Don't you find it alittle odd that 100 million dollars was spent on the Clinton scandal?

Do you know how much they allocated to the 9/11 investigation?
3 million. That's it.

Gotta love those family values, it only seems to pertain to someone elses backyard.

I agree. It seems that a large percentage of politicians are corrupt. I hesitate to say all, but it seems the longer they are "in it", the less likely it is that they are clean. I see it even in schools. Those who push the right buttons, hang out the right election signs, go to the right parties and dinners, join the right organizations, end up lauded and quickly move up. 25% or so gain important positions by true hard work, in my estimation. Most just played the game and won. I can imagine that in government politics, it is just the same.

So what do you suspect the BUSH family did???

I guess I can't forget that this is a Rosie thead.

Opps sorry missed this post.

Be patient with the answer as it will take awhile for me to write all that is wrong with this corrupt family.

Before I start, is there a specific person you would like me to start with?

Let me know.

I agree with you LuLu , from small "politics" like co-op boards, why do the members of the board have the nice walkways up to their apartments or why do they have they have the fresh painted hallways ect ect LOL. TO school boards to small town govenment all the same thing. Washington just plays on a higher level .

What this whole war is for (OIL), and that alone discredits my entire posts. What are we in Iraq for? You can’t really believe its terrorism we are fighting – do you? Baby Bush went from WOMD to Democracy for the Iraq People (which is impossible because their way of life is based off 'their view' -often misguided view- of theocracy) - to what now? What's the focus today? FYI, I’ve read the Quran and this killing in Gods name is NOT of Islam. The average person can't tell you why we are in Iraq. Seriously, are we really fighting terrorism in Iraq or crazy num nuts eager to die (as long as they get you too - or your sons, daughters, nieces, nephews, etc.) How many have to be killed over NOTHING! Its time to come home with proper health care and needed counseling. I have a cousin there, I’d like to see him come home soon, and NOT serve there for the 4th time. Since his first deployment, he had to bury both is mother and grandmother, and had to go back BEFORE he could even bury his mother (The burial was the next day). He had to leave the evening of his mothers’ funeral.

Speech: Dennis Kucinich

It's All About Oil

http://afterdowningstreet.org/node/22838
By Dennis J. Kucinich

Wednesday May 23, 2007
Summary and Notes from Congressman Kucinich's One Hour Speech
Before the United States House of Representatives
On Administration's Efforts to Privatize Iraq Oil
The Iraqi "Hydrocarbon Law" is an issue of critical importance, but has been seriously mischaracterized and I want to provide the House of Representatives the facts and evidence to support the concerns I have expressed.

As you know, the Administration set several benchmarks for the Iraqi government, including passage of the "Hydrocarbon Law" by the Iraqi Parliament. The Administration has emphasized only a small part of this law, the "fair" distribution of oil revenues. Consider the fact that the Iraqi "Hydrocarbon Law" contains a mere three sentences that generally discusses the "fair" distribution of oil.

Except for three scant lines, the entire 33 page "Hydrocarbon Law," is about creating a complex legal structure to facilitate the privatization of Iraqi oil. As such, it in imperative that all of us carefully read the Iraqi Parliament's bill because the Congress is on the record in promoting oil privatization.

This war is about oil.

We must not be party to the Administration's blatant attempt to set the stage for multinational oil companies to take over Iraq's oil resources.

The Administration set several benchmarks for the Iraqi government, including passage of the "Hydrocarbon Law" by the Iraqi Parliament.

And many inside the beltway are contemplating linking funding for the war in Iraq to the completion of these benchmarks, including passage of the "Hydrocarbon Law" by the Iraqi Parliament.

The Administration has once again misled Congress by mislabeling the draft law as an oil revenues distribution law, just as the Administration misled Congress about the Iraq war.

The war in Iraq is a stain on American history. Let us not further besmirch our nation by participating in the outrageous exploitation of a nation which is in shambles due to U.S. intervention.

The fact is that except for three scant lines, the entire 33 page "Hydrocarbon Law," is about creating a complex legal structure to facilitate the privatization of Iraqi oil.

Power corrupts. The only thing that amazes me is that more people are not corrupted by their positions. We only hear about those who succumb.

I am an avid reader of "Ayn Rand" and she had the thought that those who are supposed to be in power are really just 'figureheads' for the folks behind the scenes. Makes sense to me. :thumbsup2 Those with real power do not have a need for perceived power.

Until the people change the politicians and others will not. We need to make better choices AND have better choices. :3dglasses

Some of us are far right, some far left, most smack dab in the middle veering left and right according to what is happening at the moment. It all evens out over time, sometimes not in our lifetime, but eventually. As long as we are ALL free to speak our minds, whether others think our opinions valid, or not, we will survive. History is the best judge and it takes a long time for any case to come to that court. Seems that the 'ends justifying the means' is the deciding factor.

Power corrupts, whether it is politicians or talk show hosts.

Slightly Goofy who has no power nor seeks any

IOW, it ain't MY fault!!! :cool1:
