Rosie's gone...

Great news. Now I can start watching The View again

Stupid Bush was on Thurday during the scheduled time here for The View. Did anybody see it (maybe in Central or Pacific time zone) -- the show directly following Wednesday's conflict between Rosie & EH? I know they tape 2 shows on Thursday and air the 2nd one on Friday (which I saw on Friday with that pretty cooking woman). Just wondering how the mood was.

I'm in the central time zone also but it was preempted here also. The View is on here at 10:00. I was looking forward to see how they handled themselves after all of the fireworks.

Anyone see it on Thursday?

I believe the phrase is "if you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen." So perhaps before you start spewing vulgarity make sure that your insult is worded correctly. Thanks!:)

Umm, no -- in Rosie's case she would be running to the kitchen to feed her fat face.

WOW! You have referred to Rosie's weight at least twice in this thread.:sad2:

Do you have a problem with Rosie or "large folks" in general?

Wow, there are some REAL bigots on this board. Disgusting.

:thumbsup2

These threads are SO telling, really. Its astounding the things people say with the cloak of anonymity to protect them. :sad1:

Or maybe they say these things in "real life"? :rolleyes1

Reguardless of what you think about her she donates much of her own money to many charities besides her childrens foundation. She aparently has been a frequent unpublisized visitor to many diffrent VA hospitals offering emotional, and monitary support to many of the wounded vets and their families. Imagine doing this and reading and hearing that you think the troops are terorist and evil. She never did say that, she did say that the current administration are running government sponsored terorism in Iraq. She has always maintained undying support for the troops.

Like her or not, big mouth for sure, she has alot of guts for putting up with what she did for as long as she did. She will continue to be a charitable force for kids and the troops im sure. Rosie is a genuine person, what you see is what you get.

I saw her in a restaurant I was in once in NY and after she finished her meal was approached by a few kids in the restaurant, this is back when she had her own show, she greeted each child with a hug and a huge smile signed autographs and had a short conversation with each one, a real class act, like her politics or not, shes the real deal.

The people who hate her aren't going to acknowledge this, unfortunately. She's just a big fat liberal lesbian loud mouth un American to them. :sad1: They refuse to see her for her good points.

Wow - I record "The View" daily and I just finished watching the show from Wednesday. Both of them appeared angry AND hurt. Those are two emotions that could make you say and do anything. Both of them wanted to cry. I hope they can 'heal' from this.

This is what struck me too. I'm just disgusted with people who seem to be reveling in the hurt feelings of these two women. Of course they are celebrities, but that doesn't exclude them from feeling real emotion. And when a friendship is tested to these extremes, its going to be near impossible to repair. I find that very sad, regardless of what political party the women are affiliated with. :(

I LOVE Rosie but hated the View with & without her. BUT I did watch the View when Rosie came on. I also begged her to get her own show & I hope she does. We will have to wait until Sept of 2008 to see when the new syndicated shows start.

Me too.

But I think it says a lot about her that she turns tail and runs after that. The gracious thing, of course, is to come back and work things out with Elizabeth. She couldn't stand the heat, so she got out of the kitchen.

Sadly, that happens. :( Sometimes friends who have had an argument need time to nurture their wounds before they can try to work it out,

I wouldn't say her calendar opened up much, if at all. It seems that everyone here only thinks that all she did was the view. She has a new program on Logo which she produces (which is funnier than anything) she continues her work with R family Vacations, she does massive amounts of charity work and she is supper active in her children’s lives, she has been doing stints in other shows as well like NipTuck and Queer as folk. Who needs to do more?

I only came back to the view because she was there, now I will take it off of my tivo.

Yay Rosie. May she bounce back as she always has and continue with her good work. :thumbsup2

I just starting TIVOing The View, mainly because of all the posts here about it, I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. I like all of the ladies with the exception of Barbara, who I find a little patronizing. I admit to tuning in though because of Rosie, who I always liked for her down to earth and honest nature. I doubt I'll continue to TIVO the show, but I do want to see what they have to say on Tuesday.

He/She comes off as being a ******* with every post

While I've always been a fan of The View, I found it more entertaining when Rosie was on.

As far as the fight between her & Elisabeth, my personal opinion is that she should have finished out her contract. It seems as thought Rosie is running from the entire thing, unless, of course, ABC did give her the boot. :sad2:

I could care less about Rosie O'Donnell's politics. I agree with her way more than I agree with Elizabeth. Rosie's problem is that she has no class. Trump has no class either so I won't try and defend him after Rosie started that fight. Hasselbeck at least tried to handle the situation with dignity after the show in the press release. Rosie went back to being the immature person she is by running to her blog to make more comments.

Rosie continually embarrasses herself with her actions. And I'm sorry, way too many people are blinded by their love of her or her politics to ever admit that she is unprofessional. I can still support her issues without ignoring her crassness.

I enjoyed the show when Meredith and Starr were still there. I stopped watching shortly after Rosie came on. I used to really enjoy Rosie when she had her own show and looked forward to her being on the show. She was very funny and I even applauded her for adopting her children, I think she is a wonderful mom. Then she somehow changed. It seems as though she is so angry at the world lately. She actually seeths (I hope I spelled that right) anger. Her face reflects it. Just to look at her, you can tell she has some serious anger issues. You can have differing opinions from others and still not be nasty about it, it seems as though Rosie got caught up in the moment most times, but her anger just pours out of her. I still like Rosie, I think she is a great comedian and I wish her well, but I'm actually glad she is leaving the View, watching it most days left a sour taste in my mouth.

I rarely watched The View, before or after Rosie came on. Just too many women talking and interrupting eachother. :)

But I've always been a big Rosie fan, even if I do not always agree with her. It does seem that, starting some years ago, in the last year or so of her own show, she started to take things too personally; too seriously. She cares to the extreme, and it's just not good for anyone's mental health to care that much.

And in the current situation, I do not think it's a bad thing at all for her to step away from the situation. I tell my 11 year old all the time that he needs to learn to walk away, even if only mentally. I hope Rosie can learn to do that too, for her own sanity.

As far as the comments people make regarding her appearance, it is truly sad to me that people allow themselves to be so hateful. They are like kids throwing rocks and laughing at the pain. In speaking this way they say much more about themselves and their inner appearance.

I saw a blip of Joe Scarborough bashing Rosie and do you know who he had on to validate his opinion? Danny Bonnaduce (sp) who had the nerve to viciously insult her appearance and behavior. Danny Bonnaduce! 'nuff said. :sad2:
