Yeah, I'll watch next week to see what is said. I'm bummed that we'll miss her last few weeks, but I'm assumming this means she won't be back at all. She had said she would come back to guest host occasionally. I didn't like that because I didn't want to tune in everyday to see if she would be there or not. I don't want to give The View the ratings if she's not there.

After watching yesterdays show, as I posted, I knew she would not come back. Her blog entry today is a movie she entitled "True colors" I knew that was her way of saying she wouldn't sit on the stage with EH again. Very sad, but the vast majority of us already know what this President is about and why should she take abuse for saying it? Joy doesn't, and she said on the same program Bush should be impeached. AOL is already starting the same lies as usual..she trashed her dressing room (denied by ABC) and she put mustaches on pictures of EH (even though they concede she wasn't in the building at the time) Who thinks Helene did the mustaches?

Elizabeth should have said something yesterday... I feel bad for Rosie and Joy because the show won't last a season now. Wonder if they will win the Emmy?

I started watching the View because of Rosie but I grew real tired of the way she's been acting lately. She called Elisabeth a coward the other day but to me leaving like this makes her the coward. It's a shame.

Rest assured, it has FAR more to do, than her views on Bush. It just seems that you can't participate in ANY thread, no matter what the topic, without it becoming political. Back to the real conversation...has there been ANY talk at all over who will replace her? If she only had 3 weeks left, surely ideas have been tossed around. Anyone?

Heck yes I think it was her decision. If she can't get her way she takes her toys and goes home. I am sure that the network wanted her to stay, they love the publicity and ratings.

She wants to control everything. She has made it clear that she only came on to the View if they let her have control over certain things about production and topic discussions. She now realizes that EH isn't going to sit back anymore and let her reign supreme and will fight back.

So time to take her her ball and leave. Too bad we can't all live in that world where we can just leave when something happens at work we dont' like or someone says something we don't agree with.

Sorry, but I think you're way off base. I think Rosie was deeply hurt by Elisabeth's actions. She considered her a friend, despite their differences of opinion. Elisabeth did not act like a friend. I've been in her shoes and I could understand why she felt that she couldn't sit across from her everyday and pretend nothing had changed. She felt very betrayed.

I wouldn't say her calendar opened up much, if at all. It seems that everyone here only thinks that all she did was the view. She has a new program on Logo which she produces (which is funnier than anything) she continues her work with R family Vacations, she does massive amounts of charity work and she is supper active in her children’s lives, she has been doing stints in other shows as well like NipTuck and Queer as folk. Who needs to do more?

I only came back to the view because she was there, now I will take it off of my tivo.
