Yorktown is very pretty The Riverwalk is very nice. It is also close to the battlefield which has a lovely visitor's center. But the battlefield tours might be a little boring for your group.
You have to visit the colonial district. Go to the visitor's center first.

If you purchase a ticket for everyone you can take the bus in for free. If not, you can walk in. It's about a 3/4 mile walk. The path is actually really pretty but its probably going to be HOT so the bus is better.
Anyone can go into the colonial district, but to get in a lot of the buildings (not restaurants) you need the ticket.
The movie in the visitor center is also pretty good. It's a gloss over of the history and is included in the ticket price.
There are several colonial restaurants that serve lunch and dinner.

I've eaten at Christina Campbell's and King of Arms. Lunch is clearly the better value. I enjoyed both. I need to try a new one this time.
I have no idea.
I would eat here. It's right on the river front. Lovely views

I am thinking of eating there in August. Denny and I decided to go back and visit at the end of August. those are the only days I have off all summer. Boo!
There are multiple ghosts tours that you can book.
Here's one that's available, but there are multiple choices. I have not done one. The one night I was registered it was after a storm and the electric was still out so it go canceled.

Definitely eat at Food For Thought.
http://foodforthoughtrestaurant.com There are a ton of chain restaurants located in the same area and this place doesn't look like much but it got great reviews on Trip Advisor. I have eaten there twice and its GOOD! It's probably not far from your hotel.
You can walk the campus of William & Mary. It's on the edge of the colonial district and its gorgeous.
Jamestown would be great for a day trip. There are outdoor and indoor displays and a decent cafeteria.

You can get a combo ticket to the Jamestown settlement and the Yorktown Victory center (which is somewhat near the battlefield and river walk). I have not been to the Victory Center
Hope this helps.
