:D How do I find the Rose Garden in MK? I've read on alot of the threads that this is a good spot to watch Wishes from and since this may be our only trip to WDW, I would like to be in the best spot possible. Is there a place to sit in the rose garden that people won't stand in front of you? Can you see Tinkerbell come down from the castle from the Rose Garden? Sooo many questions and so little time!!! 13 days to go-yeah!!!:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Tinkerbell actually flies directly over the rose garden :)

When you are on Main Street, walk all the way up towards the castle and make the right onto the bridge to Tomorrowland. As you get off Main Street and onto the bridge look over to your left and you will see an archway sign that says rose garden :) There is usually a Mickey and Minnie Topiary just outside the archway which makes for a great picture spot :)

There are not really seats there, but you can go all the way up to the railing and have a straight on view of tha castle with no one in front of you. I watched Wishes from there on New Years Eve and it was a GREAT spot...

Liberty,

Thank you so much for the info! Thats where we will be. I'll say hi to Tinkerbell for you!!

We sat in the rose garden on our last trip a couple weeks ago!! We sat by the old "swan boat" loading/unloading station. Great view of Tink flying, but was kind of a sidways view of wishes. I would rather stake out a spot anywhere from in front of the castle to the train station next time. There was also a little debris fallout from the fireworks that landed in front of us. But we also noticed quite abit of this around fantasyland afterwards. The park was pretty busy that night, but the rose garden was pretty much isolated. There was a one bench in that area, we grabbed it and wrapped up in a blanket. It was pretty cold that night.

I watched Wishes from the ROse Garden several times last month, a great view of the fireworks and Tink. There are a couple benches if you are lucky and a fence rail to lean/sit on. As said, the perspecticve of the Castle as a foreground to the fireworks is a little off, since you are on the side, but you do see a perfect view of the fireworks and plenty of the Castle graphics of Wishes.

Okay, after a ton of lurking (you all are such a wealth of information!!), I have finally gotten the nerve up to ask a question...can you see Spectromagic from the Rose Garden, as well? We will be there next week and want to find a spot to watch Spectro and the fireworks...and see Tinkerbell fly, as well!
TIA!

The Rose Garden is a little set back for Spectro, but you could watch Spectro from the curb just off the Tomorrowland bridge and then head over to the Rose Garden for the Fireworks. Or if there are 2 Spectros on the night you are going to be there, steak out your spot for Wishes and then watch the second Spectro from the curb off the tomorrowland bridge (less people at the second spectros).

When we watched Wishes on New Years Eve we sat up by the archway into the Rose Garden by the Mickey and Minnie Topiaries. It did not seem like an odd angle from there. I can see it being a little off from the swan boat landing, (we stayed further up because the swan boat landing is a smoking area and I didn't know how bad it would be down there).

I watched Wishes from the Rose Garden sitting on the planter near the first tree, and didn't mind the off-center aspect. If you don't want to see it centered on the castle, DS15 and I accidently found out that Indy Speedway is close to the area the shells are launched, and you get a great view of the fireworks. I think that means the path from Tomorrowland to ToonTown would work great for non-centered fireworks.

On the night we watched from the swan boat landing, there wasn't a smoker in sight. Mr. Murphy's right, the castle images were pretty good from around this area. We try different spots on trips. :wave2:

That's where we watched 'Wishes' from on Dec. 14. Only problem was that Tink didn't fly. We were sooooo disappointed. Maybe next time. It was pretty windy that night, so it could have been a safety issue. If that was the case, fine with me!!! But the Rose Garden is a great spot for viewing the fireworks.

In May we finally got to see the fireworks at MK (can't wait to see the new Wishes!!) but did not see Tink fly. We were disappointed and I figured we weren't in the right spot or just missed her.
So Tink doesn't always fly? When does she fly...before Wishes begins or at the end? Sorry for the silly questions!

During "Wishes" Tink flies towards the begining. It is not right at the begining, but it is closer to the begining than it is to the end :)

She does not fly if there are high winds, rain or lightning in the area and of course the ever popular...unforseen circumstances...but 9 times out of 10 you will be able to see Tinkerbell "Soar High Above Cinderella Castle" (Sorry alittle Fantasy in the Sky flash back)
