Rose & Crown Fish?

OK ... It's Lent and I'd love to know what kind of fish they serve in the Fish & Chips at the Rose & Crown at Epcot?

Also ... anyone have the recipe for the tartar sauce they serve? and/or is there one you can buy that is just like it.

DH & I reallllllllly love that fish and sauce but it's too far to drive down and get from home!

it's deep fried battered fish, I think it's from Harry Ramsden's recipe, certainly the takeaway next door sells Harry Ramsdens.

I would guess that it's cod, because 90% of all fish and chips sold in the UK is cod - but cod stocks are very low at the moment, so they may be using something else like Haddock or Hake.

Did you know that the original Harry Rasmdens in Leeds is the largest fish and chip restaurant in the world, and it is really fancy with posh carpeting and chandeliers?

I have no idea of the recipe because fish and chips are so cheap over here, that I would never bother to make my own - sorry I'm not very helpful.

sorry, can't help with the tarter sauce. While you can get it over here, salt and vinegar is much more popular (and what I would recommend!)
