Rose & Crown Fireworks Dining Package - Opening October 1

The reviews coming in on Harmonious are underwhelming... beginning to doubt the view from rose & crown will be worth me keeping these tickets.

Me, too! I have both Spice Road AND Rose & Crown on different days. Am going to wait until people actually go and try the food before I cancel.
That makes sense. I am hoping to hear a little feedback on what the view is like from rose & crown… I am supposed to go on October 21st so fingers crossed... if you can't see it well, I'm probably going to cancel.

I think I'm going to be skipping this one. I originally thought I would do it but after seeing the menu and finding out that arrival time is 9PM I'm not thrilled with this offering. I don't want to eat that much at that time of day, I'm not crazy about the first course offerings and I know that DH wouldn't like what is offered for the main course. Soooo I think I will just make our normal reservation for this location and hope for the best.

Do you all think the new show at Epcot will be starting at 9:30-9:45 in January? I thought the park closed earlier in January.

Have they officially released the menu? Or confirmed it's from the current menu?

My main motivation for booking one of these packages is to hopefully avoid the crowds. I hate standing shoulder to shoulder with strangers, and will hate it even more during these times. I specifically remember watching Illuminations once and hearing and feeling someone sneeze onto the back of my neck. Ew. Double triple ew with Covid. My hope with these packages (and the MK fireworks parties) is that I can find a place to stand or sit and watch the shows without being surrounding on all sides by strangers. Plus, it's a new show. I plan on not watching anything on YouTube until I can see it in person. Even if it's not great, it's something new to do.

I ate at R&C last night on the upper patio as a solo diner. I was seated at the table by the stairs so I was able to see fireworks between the upper level covers and view of the show was very nice. I could absolutely not see the middle screen projections. Not even a bit. The rest of the view was great. The lack of crowds amazing. (I don’t do crowds so even when I left the restaurant I found a bench and sat for about 40 mins to let the crowds filter out.)

This isn’t the thread to review the show so I won’t. Suffice it to say I am now totally fine I missed out on the package for my Nov trip when my whole family comes and I will propose to them we drop our normal R&C ADR and skip seeing this show all together and maybe hit Disney Springs, hello Wine Bar George!

So should I take this to mean that this dining package will not provide a view of the middle screen?

I'm not certain, but I think the folded patio umbrella you see in that shot is the reserved party section.

I'm now thinking we dodged a bullet, I would have been upset to pay an upcharge for that. It's very odd to me that they didn't focus on an event from a prime viewing location first (even at a higher price point), then maybe add this event (at a lower price point? Am I asking too much?)

I am sure the higher price point, better location even is coming. I think those are run by a special group though so maybe easier to at least open the restaurant packages.

Here's a daytime view I've found from the upper level. Pretty much matches the nighttime view posted before.

So what happens if you already have a reservation at Rose and Crown for during the fireworks that was made before the package was released? I know this happened before when they released the package during Illuminations...but don't remember what happen to people's reservations.
You booked an adr for a table to eat. You didn't book an adr for a view of the fireworks. You eat inside. Fireworks packages eat outside. Briefly last time they would let people step out onto the patio area but that ended quickly. I get fuzzy if that restarted with rules in place but I do remember people bring pissed at the price they paid to look at people's butts.

Unless you get seated on the end of the lower patio nearest the front of Epcot I don’t see how you can see it. The middle water screen thing doesn’t turn or anything. You are able to see the normal screens just fine.
