Rose and Crown's updated menu...

They took the Ploughman's Salad (lunch entree) off the menu. I've been wanting to try that for quite some time and we are hoping to eat at the Rose and Crown on our next trip. I'll obviously give another entree a try, but I love entree salads and am sorry to see the only entree salad choice off of the menu.

I see they also took the mushroom appetizer off the dinner menu. When we were there last time, we couldn't get a ressie so I got one for this trip as my DH loves everything English and wanted to try there. I'm not thrilled with the menu but I'm eating there because he wants to. The mushroom appetizer was one of the only things I was looking forward to trying because I've read people raving about it.

We have an ADR there in Nov. I went to great trouble reading menus and picking places that had low carb options (diabetic) and that was the thing I could eat there....that sounded good.

That stinks! The mushroom appetizer was wonderful! However, for those that say they like salads, the Mixed Green Salad is really, really tasty! The dressing is to die for!!! Try that if you like salads.

Oh and don't forget to try that English Beer Sampler...........awesome way to end the day!

I ordered the Steak & Fish for dinner when we went in August and it was actually very good...it was one of the best steaks I had all week. Also, the green beans served with it were delicious!

Why on earth did they take the Ploughmans off the menu? how hard is it throw a lump of Cheddar and bit of Branston on a plate with some mixed greens? very odd. I also would have thought this was a very cost effective menu option for Disney
