i just made res for 7:40 pm at the rose and crown- never been before- hoping to get a patio seat so we can view the fireworks- has anyone had any experiences with this- anyone get in front of your table blocking your view? and if we can't get a paitio seat is there a viewing area we can go to duing dinner to see illuminations?

thanks for any info- going in Jan:confused:

There are no guarantees on patio seating, although we've been fortunate in getting seated outside on all of our post 7:30 PS.
I think there may be a some tables with a partially obstructed view by a post or a tree, but for the most part the R&C patio is an excellent place to be for Illuminations. If you get seated indoors, I believe they will let you view the show from their terrace, but I'm not certain.

The tables are right against the railing and so no one would be able to get in front of you.

We've had good luck getting patio tables, too. I would just ask politely...some people are really pushy and demanding at that podium for some reson. More so than most places I think.

The patio is great during Illuminations but, of course, they can't guarantee patio seating.
