We're leaving for Disney tomorrow. I have PS at several restaurants, but am considering adding Rose to see Illuminations and Biergarten for lunch. How crowded does the Biergarten get at lunch? Can I just wait and make PS from my hotel? Also is Rose and Crown worth the money to see Illuminations from their patio? Thanks!

Yes and yes!!! Yes you can wait to make a PS for Biergarten- No biergarten doesn't get busy for lunch (and I am glad you are going for lunch as dinner is more expensive), and yes it is worth it for R&C to see Illuminations. Mmmm...I love that german meats @ biergarten. I eat 3 things there- their meat, cheese, and bread! I am such a weird eater! :earboy2:

I can't speak about Biergarten, but I LOVE Rose and Crowne and the food is great. Ask for a table with a water view and you can get a great view of the fireworks....

I love the fish and chips, shepard's pie, and bangers and mash, if you decide to go there. Enjoy!!!

Yes to both also. The Biergarten is a little bit interactive but not like Prime Time or WHispering Canyons. You might get called on to polka though. Rose and Crown is my favorite too. If you can ask for a table on the water. If you are back very far the trees obscure so of your view.

On our December trip, both DGF and I agreed that Rose and Crowne was the best dinner that we had while at the parks...and the view of Illuminations is incredible. I would strongly recommend it.

I would recommend that you eat at the Rose & Crown if you like their food and not necessarily for the view. Patio seating is very limited and the availability of Illuminations view patio seating is even less. They don't take requests, it's simply luck of the draw. A little secret is to check in at the podium and then walk to your left into the little beer garden area. There are tables along the waterfront. Snag one and then wait to see if your Rose & Crown seating is going to be inside, outside (but under the awning) or an unobstructed view. If you're not thrilled with what they have available, keep your tablefront seat in the beer garden and get take out from someplace.

Just a bit of a warning...Biergarten is VERY heavy foods.I think it's more a dinner meal myself. We tend to like a lighter lunch, and heavier dinner. However,it is yummy food. :mickeybar
