There's a Dinah's north of LAX on Sepulveda, just before you pass under the 405. As a little bonus, Dinah's is where the lingonberry pancake scene in The Big Lebowski was shot, and the family eats Dinah's fried chicken in Little Miss Sunshine. Or you could just go to one of the other Roscoe's in the area. There's one in Long Beach.
A little OT, but has anyone found and tried the Lay's Chicken and Waffles potato chips? I've been looking for them in the stores around DC, without success. A Roscoe's stop has become mandatory when I get to LA, and I was hoping to try some of the potato chips.
Oh really??? Work like the wind!!! I'll be there in 55 days! Please Keep us informed if you can.. I am flying all the way from the east coast and must try roscoes!
Another vote for Bruxie if Roscoe's isn't open yet. It isn't too far away in Old Towne Orange (which is a cool place to go to if you haven't been before!)
I heard that they have been hiring for this location. And I know of one person who said they got the job. But I have not been able to find out a opening date yet. Was hoping it was open for my trip at the end of April.
A third vote here for Bruxie's! I know there's a lot of hype about Roscoes but i LOVE Bruxie's buttermilk fried chicken waffle sandwich version as well as their hot pastrami. The chicken comes with a cute personal mini syrup bottle to pour over. The line is shorter plus the milkshakes are delicious.
Depending when people come out (if after late May 2014). Iron Press @ The Anaheim Packing House should be open, they have awesome waffle sandwiches and chicken/waffles - as well as an amazing selection of local beers!
I ate at the Hollywood Roscoe's three weeks ago and asked if they had any information. The server said it should be in the next couple of months. He was excited about it opening too because he wanted to transfer to Anaheim since it was closer to his house.
