Did the Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles location in Anaheim ever open? If not, does anyone know when they're expected to open? We'll be there in May and would love to give this place a try.

Wow good question! I found the article saying it was "opening soon" from summer of last year, but there's nothing online indicating that they ever opened... no yelp reviews, no phone number, no nothing...

According to their Facebook page entry dated 2/5/13,

"Hey everyone, we've gotten a plethora of messages about our new location in Anaheim! We are working hard to open soon. We will have a date soon."

Drove by it just the other day; still walled off with an "opening soon" sign.

Thanks for all the updates. We'll be there in May and I'm hoping they're open by then.

i'm planning on talking to one of the Roscoes' managers in Hollywood later this week and including that info on my upcoming Roscoes blog here on blog.wdwinfo.com.

I'll try and post back here to let you guys know what I found out.

BTW - Roscoes' website has been down for the last week or so. Hmmmm.

Bump... Any news on whether or not this is open yet? 70 days until my california adventure!

It's still just a wood shell, no walls or windows or doors or anything. We have been here a couple of weeks and have not seen anyone even working on the site and wondered what's happening with it.

I know! We drove by it a week or so ago and nothing was happening. It was just a shell and it looked as though nothing had been done to it for a while. I am afraid it will never be finished. :(

We drove by yesterday and it's still completely gutted with not a soul in sight. I was so bummed out. I'm not exactly sure what chicken and waffles taste like together, but ever since the "coming soon" sign went up, I've been obsessed.

We're on the East Coast, and I had never heard of Roscoes until I saw them on either The Food Channel or Cooing Channel. Looks delicious, and thy are on the list to try on our next trip. Probably the Hollywood location...unless someone has another recommendation (assuming the Anaheim one is still not open

Long beach or Pasadena are easier locations to visit as far as traffic goes.

Thank you. We're staying in Huntington Beach for a few days so maybe we'll hit Long Beach on the way down.

Brit here...can I ask what this is? I'm intrigued!

They probably don't have this in your neck of the woods, but fried chicken served with a waffle (syrup and butter) is popular with lots of folks. I heard it came out of people staying up all night (dancing, etc.) and then being hungry in the early morning. Restaurants would serve something savory (fried chicken) with a breakfast food (waffle). Ta da! The best of both worlds. Roscoe's is a famous chicken and waffle chain that was supposed to open an Anaheim branch.

If you ever get a chance, it is an awesome combo. We make a point of eating at Roscoe's every chance we can!

I'm German. My friends took me to another location during my last CA stay 2 years ago. It turned out a little too special for me. I don't think I'd go back. But then again unless we are talking Goofy's Kitchen I am really not a big breakfast person anyway. ;)

Try Honey's Kettle - if you fly into LAX the Culver City location isn't too far and their chicken is mind-blowing good!

I am a local who has been keeping an eye on the Roscoe's since the sign went up, as I drive past it to get into the Toy Story Lot, and my wife and I have concluded we will probably see Avatar Land completed in Florida before this Roscoe's opens up in Anaheim.
