Rope Drop Frozen Tips?

I heard from 2 guests (separate groups) with pre-park reservations that the crowds were so heavy only one person had to check in for the ADR at the tapstile and they weren't counting the group going in with them. Could that be accurate?

Otherwise, someone could book a pre-park ADR for 2 people, get the entire group of 6 or whatever in, skip breakfast and have 6 people beat the line for $20.

IMO and agreeing with aurora that it is a jerk move, we are going to see full payment required in advance for these places and others like BoG.

Disney is staffing for full capacity and minimal people are showing up at the restaurants. The wait staff and supporting crew are totally screwed since the park isn't even open for walk ups to make up the revenue.

Entertainment CMs at both breakfasts noted the low number of diners.

1) The rumor is an increased No-Show-Penalty for Epcot breakfast.
2) Too many people are booking the breakfast just to get to new rides earlier.
3) Sure, they make the $10/person, but they lose the full revenue and the SERVERS don't get tips.
. . . we have heard PPO breakfasts will be a full pre-pay, much like reserving CRT.
. . . in this way, the eatery makes the revenue and the SERVERS get their union-contract 18% tip.
. . . if it works at Epcot, they would probably do the same for MK (and maybe AK and DHS, once Avitarland and StarWarsLand come in)
4) Actually, this see VERY FAIR to me.

Seems fair to me! I wonder if they made people show their receipt for their PPO breakfast before lining up for the ride if it would eliminate the no shows?

Fair, yes. But practical? You're talking about requiring prepayment for one hour's worth of ADRs. Given Disney's IT track record, is that even something the website is capable of? (For the record, I believe you Rusty, I just wonder how it will actually work in practice).

It manages to work for special event dining.

Pre paid would be the best solution. The only thing that may complicate this is Disney's habit of changing park hours. What do you do when you have a pre park ADR for 5 1/2 months that becomes an ADR 20 minutes AFTER open.

They already do it for certain meals. It wouldn't be a problem for them at all. And something I have high hopes they will do. It is ridiculous the number of people who seem to think booking meals they have no intention of eating is ok.

Should all the early morning attention for FEA and Soarin be making Test Track wait times better?

Just looked at the app. FEA 180 minutes, Soarin 20 minutes and TT 40 minutes. I think most people are using Tier I on either FEA or Soarin so that might actually make standby on TT worse.

Soarin' now loads more guests and MDE is showing a 20 minute wait while TT is showing a 40 minute wait. For a party of 3, there are still FPs available for TT while none are left for Soarin' and FEA.

The guests who don't care about FEA will FP Soarin' and rope drop TT.

At least no one runs anymore from rope drop. Hahaha just kidding. Get a good pair of sneakers.

That makes me happy, as I have an ADR for the Garden Grill and plan on eating.:teeth:

We have a PPO for Norway breakfast and I have a FP for FEA at 11am. We were planning to have a nice breakfast before the park opens simply to get a good meal in and fill them kids' tummies while the park is technically still closed. This way we can tour for a good while before having to stop for lunch and enjoy the hours the park is open without stopping to eat right away. My plan was to do breakfast and then the A&E meet after. Figured by then it would be about 11 am for our FP. Now it seems everyone will be rushing through breakfast and I don't want to get in trouble for my kids taking too long if the next table wants to see the princesses so they can hurry up and get in line.
We will already have been to EP two other days in our trip with a FP each for TT and Soarin earlier in the week.

Good grief!

Maybe I should tell our server, just have the princesses go to all the tables who are in a rush to get to the ride first and then come back to us.
