Rope Drop and Breakfast Reservations?

So, if I have breakfast reservations in the park for 9:00 am and that's when the park is set to open, when will I be allowed into the park? And also, will I be able to acquire any FP's before the actual 9:00 opening? Or would it be better to push them back 20 min to acquire the FP's? but again, when do they allow you into the park?

You will likely be let in 10 minutes before opening to get to the restaurant. You cannot pull a FP until the park is open. It may not be worth it to push the time back in order to get a FP because the return time will likely be right after your dining time starts, and you may miss the window...except maybe RSR.

I would try sending someone from your group to go get FP while waiting for breakfast.

If you pull a fastpass at 905am for a ride, it is likely to have a 945-1045 return time. If you sit down to eat at 920, will you have enough time to enjoy the meal?

If you are talking about the Plaza Inn, it would be easy to send one person to get FP's towards the end of you breakfast.
Star Tours, Space Mt, Indy or BTMRR wouldn't be too hard for someone to make a quick FP run.

You could keep an eye on an app or call Otto to know the FP window times for rides.

I went during our Plaza Inn breakfast to grab FPs for Splash. I walked fast, and it took less than 15 minutes. I only missed one character in that time, and he wound up coming back, anyway.

I was looking at Ariel's Grotto at either a 9:00 or now a 9:30 breakfast with a park opening of 9:00 so we could get FP for Radiator Springs
We've never been to Disneyland or California Adventure, so we want to make sure we get to do this with our son
