Rope Drop - 2 Parks in One Day?

The last full day of our September trip has Morning EMH for Animal Kingdom, and Evening EMH for Magic Kingdom. I've seriously debated talking my wife into doing a 20-ride, four-park challenge. Five rides at each of the four parks.

And because we never get a rental car, we'd be doing it with only Disney transportation.

I don't know if I'd set a firm 5 rides per park. I'm considering something similar in Early January but different numbers of rides at each park. Only a couple in AK and hopefully a whole bunch in MK. Obviously you would start at DAK. Since you're using Disney transportation for the day I'd look at hitting DHS next. I don't know what's on you're list, but if the current FP+ rules are still in force I'd consider using you're 3 FP+'s here for TSMM, TOT, & Tier 2 of your choosing.

From there walk or take the Boat to DHS, I'd hit the Kiosks at the International Gateway to see if you can get a 4th FP+ for Soarin' (first choice) or TT (Backup). I'd pick Soarin' first because you could single rider line TT.

From there take the monorail to MK. Upon arrival get FP+ for biggest headliner left realizing that lines get shorter as the EMH continue. If you can't get a FP for 7DMT I'd plan on getting in line right before closing if the line never get's short.

By Going AK->DHS->EPCOT->MK you minimize the amount of busses you need to take during the day.

I'm not sure about making both RDs, but I have no doubt you can hit those 15 rides. I want to attempt something similar, possibly August 31. I want to try to do even more though. :rotfl:

I think something that would be easier than hitting two RDs is hitting THREE park closings. On August 31, AK closes at 7, Epcot closes at 9, HS closes at 9:30 and MK closes at 12 (2 AM with EMH)

I don't ride Kali because I don't find it to be any different that rides just like it at Six Flags ect. I've heard AK is usually pretty empty the last hour so I think it would be easy to ride Dino, Everest, and Safari in 2 hours, probably less. I'll do safari first, then dino, then everest on single rider probably until I get sick of it.

I'd then have two options. Either Epcot or HS. I'd probably choose HS because it stays open a little later and it's closer. If there was a way to get into HS just for 10:00 Fantasmic after 9:30 I would try to see Illuminations and then run to Fantasmic. But I'm pretty sure they won't let me into HS after 9:30 and I doubt I can make it there in less than 15 minutes.

So I'll pick HS. From 7:30-9:30 I think I can get ToT, RnR single rider, and Star Tours in easily. Then get in line for TSMM before 9:30.

I'll finish the night out at MK from 10-2, probably using the same strategy for the Mine Train as I did for TSMM. I'd try to ride Splash, BTMR, HM, Pirates, Space, BLSRS, and Peter Pan. 7 rides in 4 hours at the end of the day seems reasonable to me.

There's still those 8 hours from 9AM-5PM to tackle EPCOT and anything extra I might want to do at one the other parks. I'd hit Soarin and TT at RD, but then I'd have an hour or so to kill before I could ride Maelstrom, so I'd ride Mission Space and maybe Spaceship Earth and Figment if there is time. I'd try to go to HS and MK twice, but I'm not sure the travel time would be worth it. Maybe walk to HS for a show or two and lunch during the heat of the day and knock out 1-2 things from my PM schedule. Not sure what else to do with those 5 hours but just taking it easy and even napping in the car might be the best idea.

Do buses run from park to park at all or should I rely completely on my car or the monorail? I was thinking I could drive between AK and HS, but go from HS all the way to MK by walking to the epcot monorail.

Pretty much my exact plan! :thumbsup2 I might cut rides from AK and Epcot, and shift them to either DHS or MK (like 4-4-6-6). I think if anything ends up scuttling the plan, it's going to happen at DHS, which would be my reason to not do that. Enough so that I am debating saving the FPs for DHS, because if we get through AK quickly enough, Epcot might be easier to handle without them. Just not sure.

Of course, this all assumes I could convince the wife to go along with such madness. :rotfl:
